That's my point.

For years we have heard "We have no say over ACL, talks need to be between them" but then over the last few weeks, it seems Reeves has been very involved (not just the takeover).

They're saying that they're involved, Nick, but that's not the same as actually being involved.

Again, whatever Duggins claims, what actual power do the Council have to control who buys ACL?

It isn't just them saying they are involved though. That's what I mean.

I'm by no means saying "the council have screwed sisu".

Think your probably right, I cant see Reeves et al being involved in the administration process of a private company other than to help ensure City games get put on. The only folk that know whats going on work for the administrator and until they say its sold to x everything is pure speculation. The council would only be told of anything in the event of the lease being returned? Council just engaging in a public back slapping contest to big them selves up for publicity.

Not saying he's involved in the Administration process and running admin.

The council know full well who the bidders are etc though.

I don’t really understand this idea that he must have already had dialogue with SISU ‘why would he,
Because if we go with the prevailing argument that he wants both club and stadium, what kind of maniac would want to buy football club *and* stadium, without finding out if the football club's even available?!?

If he hasn't talked to SISU, it's because he can take or leave the football club, and really isn't that fussed either way!

But the stadium is up for grabs now, the football club on the other hand isn’t.
Presuming MA does secure ownership of the stadium and given the type of businessman he is, you would have to think he’d be looking to secure ownership of the football club as well.
I don’t really understand this idea that he must have already had dialogue with SISU ‘why would he, unless I’m missing something here he holds all the cards and when the dust settles SISU will surely be seeking talks with him.
If he gets the stadium, IMHO SISU are ‘for all intents & purposes’ finished at this club.
a, sell for a quick lump sum and make a sharp exit.
b, sit indefinitely paying rent to an unmovable landlord with absolutely no prospect of a future windfall.
Our club has always been available to someone who would offer enough.

Like Fisher said they wouldn't sell at the bottom. Nothing has happened to make you think we are not at the peak of where SISU could take us. So we must be at about the best place for years and with players with a decent value. So why

And I don't get why many say there hasn't been any dialogue between the two of them when people not trusted wouldn't know a thing. Might even go as far as someone in the know giving wrong information saying there has been none.

Is it time to tweet Jordan about his comments re turning the stadium round
Or was that just a financial metaphor?

But knowing who are the bidders will not stop any agreement. If SISU were the biggest bidder for instance and their offer was cash up front and not linked to staged payments or anything Reeves would not hold sway.

Now we know that MA was involving in trying to refinance the bond, that article reads like a plea to MA to buy us...

I really do struggle to believe there's been no contact at all between MA/SISU since May.

Don't particularly want Sisu to stay and it'd be an outside bet I know , but could there be a possible return for Sisu if the club achieved an unlikely promotion. Couldn't achieve the same return as you could with the club and it's stadium combined but still some return on their investment. More likely to go the other way based on the financials.

Hoping Joy & Mike can agree something over kalsarikännit and we don't just get more of the same with Wasps replaced by Ashley as landlord.

If Ashley isn’t interested in the football club why’s Richard keys commenting on the cbs purchase it via Twitter?

Keys was on the money last night so he and Hoffman must be ‘advising’ him on something?

Yeah why would he, with all the costs of running the football club etc.

Just sit back and collect the money from the rent, from the football club, the casino, the hotel and corporate etc.

I doubt if any thinking about Wasps is as short term as that. If Ashley wanted to own them, or at least be associated with them, he would see them as a Rugby ‘brand’. Maybe Frasers want a slice of the rugby clothing market? If they are in a lower league for a while and not making money, that wouldn't bother him – the brand can easily be rebuilt. He’ll be thinking that in a few years there could be a European Rugby Super League or whatever, and one way or another Wasps would be on board with that. It’s not a meritocracy unfortunately, money talks.
If Ashley won’t put money into CCFC as indicated on bbc cwr by the Newcastle bbc correspondent then he certainly won’t with London wasps. They will stagnate for a couple of years in the rugby championship in front of two men a dog in Coventry so I can’t see how London wasps can finance themselves to get promoted and compete.

Yeah but which variety has replaced them or has there been another content reduction?

They're replacing them with the other sweets. So you'll get proportionally more Mars or Galaxy.

Does remind me of the great Geordie Dr Dr joke though:

Man goes into his doctor in Newcastle:

Man: Dr, every time I lift up my arm I can smell coconut
Doctor: Aye lad, you're bounty.

Not a Bounty fan, I have to say. This is all academic anyway as I'm more of a Quality Street man.
