We know the answer - they haven't had to buy any land, just pay csf peppercorn rent and the pitches are already in place. It's a training facility. They looked at 17 sites, why pick the Higgs? You are a fucking moron!
They should really be pressed on this.
Completely agree torch, trouble is as fans all our protests, campaigns and ideasThis wouldn't happen if it was in Sheffield, Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle or Glasgow. Fans would rightly be up in arms and the local council would hopefully be trying to protect the indigenous sporting team. But no, not in Coventry. Here we'll sit back and say "I know the Academy will be lost and the club is being pushed out by a team who've been here for 18 months, but it is the Clubs fault". Fucking pathetic.
Now's the time to stick up for the football team.
What's the point of having a meeting to be told you can use 1 pitch after midnight on a Wednesday? Wasps and CSF must know what can be offered, let the club know and take it from there. The point of having a meeting surely is to find out exactly what the acedemy requirements are and whether a work-around can be found to satisfy them. Makes absolute sense.
Its not the Wasps building the pool, its nothing to do with them.
No its people who roll over and let Wasps do whatever they like that will finish the club.
Its very simple, Wasps and CSF know what they will or will not offer the club. The club don't know. Simply put that in writing and we all know where we stand.
What's the point of having meetings and talks to then find out actually we can't stay. They've been having talks for months about staying and then had the rug pulled out from under them. Same at the Ricoh, been having talks and now Wasps have put a stop to them.
Put it in writing and you remove any doubt or any issues down the line with 'we were told this'.
If anybody thinks that CCFC are wanted at the Higgs centre, then take a look here...

I think we should roll over and die.
Sisu are obviously thinking along the same defeatist lines so lets just moan and groan and pretend nothing can go wrong and do absolutely nothing.
Why do you only ever give the option of do exactly what Wasps want or completely give up?I think we should roll over and die.

Its not people are rolling over for Wasp's, its that most see no matter which way you look at this Wasps are in no hurry to talk, deal or even give Sisu the time of day and this is because they don't have too. We have come down to where a bigger plan and a bigger goal is being set by CCC and Wasps. Is this fair, its up to the individual to decide, but what is fact is Wasp's have put themselves in a position where they don't need Sisu.
Sending a reply to a phone call by text should show you the level of respect they have for Sisu, but the fact CA wants it in writing also shows you Sisu don't feel desperate enough to give up the appeal to get round a table. You can talk about letters, texts, phone calls all we want the facts are very clear, the bigger question is why will Sisu not give up the appeal? Is it that they also know something is going on and do not want themselves to be left exposed in anyway.
I think we should roll over and die.

I have a better idea, why don't we all go out and buy Wasps season tickets and merchandise. Then brag about it to other CCFC fans. That'll show em, eh?
Who is bragging ?
Do you just make crap up ?
For the record I have never bought any Wasps merchandise ..................................... it was a Xmas present
It's you that is basically saying that CCFC should become Wasps' bitch.
Irrespective of all of this - I predict that the deal to stay at Ricoh will never be agreed, even if SISU dropped all court cases tomorrow.
We will be out on our ear in 2 years regardless, by which point they will have already changed the seats. And yet some people will still find excuses for the franchise.

I wonder if this "engage" programme have got in touch with SBITC, if not why not. They are currently helping raise sports provisions in our school, enahncing the quality of education in our schools, provide after school activities, helping adults gets fit, providing activities to the wider range and making sport more inclusive...
This is exactly my point. You are another victim.
You dream stuff up that has not happened and then get depressed as if it has.
I not making excuses for Wasps if you read what I have said I'm telling you what I think their plan is.
I would wasps and CSF want to compromise on accessing what will be their facilities? Do you think wasps will move their training times to enable the academy to access the facilities? Or will the compromise be purely on ccfc's part? Again, this is down to the FAs decision of whether it will meet the audit requirements for a cat 2 status or not.
Get wasps and CSF to put in writing what they can offer and put it in the public domain.
I can't believe the trust are being spineless on this.

Are you a trust member ?The trust need to fight this, this is my annoyance. They need to unite with the club. They need to honour the history and tradition the club gives to the city. Not the impartial line. Not the it's of SISU's making line. The line should be this is our club, we care and we will fight you every step of they way.
Well said sir, nail right on the head. When we moved back to the Ricoh I asked a question and was told to be patient, very patient. I think we are at a critical stage of a plan so let's be patient, ball is in the sisu court and I think now this will start costing them money if they want a fight as I said the other day someone has someone by the fanny hairs and ain't going to let go.Why is anyone shocked or blaming Wasps for sticking to the plan, i called it last night. Wasps have a clear agenda and direction, along with the CCC for the future of both parties they are making it so hard for Sisu to carry on, dropping appeals/Court Cases is the only option, other than leaving the club Sisu have. And that is something everyone can agree on even if you hate the thought that is the only card left to play for Sisu.
I could not give a shit about he said, she said, all parties are playing a game and again i want to talk line from both parties is nonsense, they are professional people who are advised by the best lawyers available to them. So why is they a hurdle a stalemate, its not because they won't to or can't, the main reason is Sisu have not yet admitted they have no other options and Wasps will benefit while Sisu have this train of thought and mindset. Nobody can say Wasp didn't ask, no one can say Sisu are wrong for wanting it in writing, but again it comes back to facts Wasps don't need talks to carry on with all that they have planned, Sisu do need talks to carry on running the club, that is a difference in a statement.
Make your mind up time CA , TF and JS drop court, get round a table and show them your proposal, or Build a new Stadium outside the city and fans will make a decision on if they will come. Its very hard for Sisu to have any movement now, they are in a game with someone who doesn't need them, doesn't want them and will make it very hard for them to survive. In my opinion something bigger is going on behind the smoke and mirrors, someone is being lined up for a possible takeover of the club and these tit for tat exchanges are just skirmishes awaiting the final battle. Sisu know by dropping the court case they have lost any control they have, they also know it leaves them very much open to a hostile takeover, which in reality is being plated out now.
Stu - just to make clear I am not on Trust board anymore so anything I say is on my own behalf and has nothing to do with the Trust. But to answer your questions as I see it: Why would Wasps and CSF compromise? I guess because they can see that the Higgs should be a centre for sporting excellence not just for swimming and rugby. I doubt they are simply doing it out of the goodness of their hearts - but it takes all sides to compromise to make any deal work. The people who know best what criteria would satisfy the FA are surely CCFC not Wasps so they should be saying to Wasps and CSF what they need and then working with them to see how this can be accomodated. This is not a situation about winners and losers and who has the biggest dick its about finding a workable solution in a difficult situation. In an ideal situation CCFC would have bought the Ricoh, signed Messi and even owned their own academy premises but none of those have happened and we are where we are and whilst we might want to bluff and bluster and shake fists it is only pragmatism, negotiation and maybe even thinking laterally that will keep our vital academy going.
We don't need to be at the Higgs centre there's land all over the place to build a training centre suitable for class 1 or 2 Acadamy centre should we ever get proper people running our football club that might happenIf anybody thinks that CCFC are wanted at the Higgs centre, then take a look here...

Are you a trust member ?
I did sign up at one point yeah, before all the Northampton and Ricoh fiasco. You see I believe in the fans having a voice and being unified. Believe in fighting anything that threatens my club, be it SISU or Wasps.Saying that, it would now appear to be the worst pound I've ever spent.
We don't need to be at the Higgs centre there's land all over the place to build a training centre suitable for class 1 or 2 Acadamy centre should we ever get proper people running our football club that might happen
No they haven't. We were in talks about staying at the Ricoh and staying at the Higgs while legal action was going on.All the way the way through this
The council previously and now Wasps have said they won't do negotiations on long term deals whilst the legal action is in play.
I am. Never heard a fucking word from them. Are you a trust member ?
We don't need to be at the Higgs centre there's land all over the place to build a training centre suitable for class 1 or 2 Acadamy centre should we ever get proper people running our football club that might happen
That's great news, means Wasps have no need to be at the Higgs and can build elsewhere, same for the swimming pool. Makes more sense as you wouldn't be knocking one thing down to replace it and then having to build a replacement for the old building elsewhere. We don't need to be at the Higgs centre there's land all over the place to build a training centre suitable for class 1 or 2 Acadamy centre should we ever get proper people running our football club that might happen
