*hands AndreasB back his toys*
Where did that whiney outburst come from? I haven't said I'm going to watch wasps, nore do I plan to but for someone who doesn't give a monkeys that sure is alot of bleating.
There is no hypocrisy in my views at all. Nore was I someone who insulted those who attended Sixfields, though I would have prefered it if you hadn't. I did have a moral objection with moving our football club to northampton, not because I have a moral issue with franchise sport but because I have a moral issue with moving our football club to northampton, not for the good of the club but in order to try and destroy another business for the financial benefit of our evil owners.
We saw this same nonsense about hypocrisy when people went to watch MKdons in large numbers, it wasn't valid then either.
Well I hold the view that handled properly and with the right people at the helm this Wasp thing can benefit our football team in the long run, should they become an even more major player in RU than they are now, winning trophies attracting the world best players I believe someone, somewhere will grab the football nettle and get on the shirt tails of this. Instead of this continued bellyaching about Wasps being here if we really want a successful football club we should all be at the sisu throat to either change their policy on how they run this club or ship out. Wasps are sponsored or are about to be by JLR, historically a Coventry company, who are owned by tata so you never know where this could lead.
Dont make it worse for yourself by trying to explain or blame it on "evil owners"
Fuck offIf anyone is interested

Don't think a lot on here realise how rugby works it it is totally different to soccer fan wise. Wasps won't impact one iota on the Cov RFC gates, they get about a 1000 and will continue to do so even if Wasps win the league and cups for the next 10 years same as the attendances won't change at Broad Street, Barkers' Butts, Trinity Guild or any other
, as for tickets prices £35 if that's the cost wouldn't dent the average rugby fans wallet, they are mainly from a different side of the fence than the average football fan.
You are one of lifes pricks my friend jump on a bandwagon and let it just roll along. In case you haven't noticed as we stand now with or without Wasps we are headed south my dear, fast, towards the bottom of division 3, then 4 , then where ? As I said a successful club at the Ricoh might, just might tempt someone to have a go and reserect us and there are certainly connections in this Wasp scenario.
what's to explain?, everything in your post was false. You weren't smart enough to know that before you wrote it and you arn't man enough to apologize for it after the fact.
You know what, I couldnt give a monkeys about you going to see Wasps.
What is laughable is the backsliding hypocrisy of your "position" - Wasps were shafted by their owners and our Council and you and Italia condone it with no sense of how ridiculous you look. When i think of all the shite you doled out last year to those who went to Sixfields - mainly as a "moral" objection.
You have lost any shred of credibility and will be called out for it on this forum every time you post and quite rightly so.
Fuck off
Wasps have no home,
Wasps have no home
It's different reasoning. Sod franchising as that can be debated. Called out by about 3 people
We were moved to Northampton because our greedy owners wanted to get the Ricoh cheap (not for CCFC but for SISU) and I for one never went because I did not support that plan.
Proven, because they came back due to only a few fans supporting that plan for whatever their reasons.
Sisu have had exactly the same offer as Wasps and on many occasions. They could be 100% in control of ACL and all income streams including CCFC rent and you know it.
Wasps have no home, they are loosing support at Wycombe and have made a calculated risk there is a gap for first class Rugby in this area.
IMHO this is a do or die decision for them.
For Coventry ratepayers and surrounding businesses it feels good for the first time in a few years.
A successful CCFC and Wasps will reap benefits for everyone.
IMHO CCFC will always rent and will be no worse off for it, as long as they can get a buy in to all football related incomes (which has been inferred to by Wasps)
Where is it then ? Wycombe

By the same logic we dont have a home so should continue the search for a new stadium which i trust you will support.
They could have bought upton park. No need to move 80+ miles
It doesn't have to be.
Look ahead to getting back in the PL and no one will care.
We need to get on board, make the best of it and enjoy the journey.
Just need to start winning games (football) and things will start to look a lot better.
Could have done all kinds of things.
What they chose to do, was not to pay the asking price for a home ground.
All good business sense, of course... but haven't we had enough of owners making decisions on business grounds? Do we want to validate the financial above the sporting?
Im not MAN enough, because Im not wrong - glad i stirred your conscience though.
Please explain how we will get back to the PL, whilst being tenants and getting limited/no access to matchday revenue, let alone 365 day a year revenue, with when wasps get the 100% little prospect of getting access to those revenues?

Wasps have no home
Sisu have had exactly the same offer as Wasps and on many occasions - When? The CCC intention was always for CCFC to buy into ACL and Higgs share has been offered for similar amounts. Trouble is SISU wanted it even cheaper and then lost all respect by the time someone else showed interest.
Proven, because they came back due to only a few fans supporting that plan for whatever their reasons. - Nobody went to support a plan, they went to support their team. I did say for whatever reason. Not knocking them but surely they knew that their support would be required for Sisu plan to succeed.
Wasps have no home, they are loosing support at Wycombe and have made a calculated risk there is a gap for first class Rugby in this area. - We have no home and are losing support, is it ok to move us to somewhere crying out for "first class" football (by first class I mean a pro team). You will support that then? CCFC will be fine as long as they are allowed access to the revenue streams and don't try and finance a new stadium. It has been inferred that CCFC will be given access to these steams and that Wasps realise there is mutual benefit from doing so.
For Coventry ratepayers and surrounding businesses it feels good for the first time in a few years. - I can understand the pubs etc doing well, why would it make any difference to joe standard rate payer? It builds Coventry up as a major sporting town. With ACL on sound footing investment can begin in the surrounding area. The station is a start and I feel good about it.
italiahorse; said:We need to wait until the Higgs share is sorted and hopefully then the positives will start to come in.
but as far as I'm concerned it's supporting something that's morally wrong, and clearly not in the best interests of CCFC.
I understand us CCFC fans being disappointed that CCFC are not 100% into ACL but with these clowns in charge it was never going to happen anyway. We need to understand that Sisu have gambled and lost and this is know the best, if not ideal, situation to move on.
We need to wait until the Higgs share is sorted and hopefully then the positives will start to come in.
They did have one for nearly 70 years in Sudbury...then their owners moved them once, then twice and now three times.
Wonder where CCFC will end up on their third move
An honest question, but in reality what do you really think these positives will be....as I am certainly struggling to see any in a Rugby Club, also backed by an overseas hedge fund so hard nosed, owning the ground built for our football club.
If the area is successful, which I now think we have a chance, it will benefit Coventry. What else have we got?So they weren't offered it?
I don't think they were offered it at the same time as Wasps but certainly since CCC baled the stadium out in 200? that was always the plan. Don't forget as we stand there is a JR and a new stadium being built so why offer it?
You didn't quite answer the question about it being ok for us to move away as we are homeless. We don't need to move. Wherever we go we will rent so it might as well be here.
So why does it benefit the normal tax payer that wasps are here? What difference will they notice? Will they get a council tax rebate?
Stability. Positive speaking that now needs to be turned into actions for the mutual benefit of CCFC, Wasps and Coventry.
We are where we are so lets build on it.
