What happened with Wright after he came on he seemed to go out of the game somewhat after the initial five minute burst on the left can't really remember much coming from that side after his coming on,did he go more central , obviously he hit the post which was roundly criticised on here!
Wondered if it was the challenge where he came off second best?
Always mystifies me how fan's come to that conclusion !
He was quite clearly knackered and his international duties + travel really showed

I wouldn't have had him involved myself

I didn’t think you were this much of a little bitch to be honest
Each to their own. I'm usually quite positive which shows I'm really not happy with what I'm seeing. It's an opinion on a forum, get over it bitch.

I suppose it’s ok on a thread that isn’t about a game where we played well and could easily have won
It’s more a reflection on the season so far

Il bet you we are above derby in may , by some distance

Wouldn’t we all and we may well be.

The point is that you deride Watford for only beating teams like Derby, who currently are on a good run with three wins.

We have one league win, thanks to a very late winner against Oxford who are widely tipped for relegation.

We played well first half, second was just a matter of time until we conceded.
Its funny how quickly people turn on you once you stop being positive though. If people are happy Robins is flapping about still trying to happen upon his best 11 then great, crack on, I'm sure he will eventually. Let's not pretend 5 points from these 5 games isn't shite though, I think most would have hoped for more than that from the first 2 alone.

Do you even listen to robins interviews post match? He says exactly the same. Difference is he remains optimistic and positive whereas you have decided to wet the bed after only 5 games.

Oh dear. Now I'm wetting the bed. Yawn.
People don't half get butthurt when you call it as you see it on here.

I'd like to retract everything I said and put out the following statement.
It's been a... brilliant start to season, with lots of well thought out, practical substitutions.
Viks sale will ensure the financial stability of CCFC for years to come.
Oh and Dougs personal hygiene is above reproach.

None of us know what these free agents are asking for in terms of wages or contract length ?
If signing a 33 year old on a 1+1 contract on 15k a week stops us having the freedom to sign a younger ,better option in January then I'm against it too

We haven't done any decent business in a January window for some time.

Thought it was a positive performance to be honest. First half we were brilliant and should have put the game to bed. If we can play like that and finish the chances we will win more than lose.

Still a worry that teams seem to press us and we seem unable to find a way through but keep in mind we had decent chances in the second half.

Do feel we made the wrong changes tho, Wright looked jet lagged and our midfield desperately needed energy which Allen would have provided. Overall a growing performance, if we can keep building on it with the people coming back we should start hopefully to put some results on the board.

For those that saw it, did Kitching and Thomas look more solid than Binks & Lati?
I think so, but as before, it's not the defence/defenders that are the issue. It's how teams can almost play through us at will. The back four are terribly exposed at times.

We saw the same in pre season. Everton were able to do the same but luckily for us they had Calvert Lewin up top!

It was as stated 4-2-3-1

Which it clearly was, despite what we expected from the team sheet. I can’t see how anyone could see that as playing with wingbacks. Milan was on the right of the attacking 3 and Lati was clearly RB. It was still the same formation when Lati went off, with Milan switching to RB and EMC replacing Milan (which incidentally contributed to the goal as EMC was not switched on to the change and was jogging back).

Loads of positive stuff I thought Simms looks like he's coming into form and confidence. Midfield actually play the ball forward and into feet. EMC will be a right handful when he gets going. We'll put plenty of teams away with the talent we have.

Also encouraged by the fact that Robins made positive subs and didn't play for the draw.

my worry isn’t the 5 from possible 15

it’s the 9 from a possible 39

We've lost that winning mentality

performance overall was decent and much improved on Norwich

btw BTA is not good enough for a promotion push. he isn’t a striker or finisher just a nuisance

agree

everytime a team comes forward we look vulnerable. Its like we make a team look decent

Stoke, Bristol and Norwich we made look a lot better then they actually are

Watford were in down our right hand side constantly, felt inevitable we'd concede a goal just like the one scored. Overall it wasn't a bad performance but that aspect of the game worried me a bit, if we are going to be that open we need to be better in front of goal.

Simms played well, some great number 9 play.

We've lots of knobs that support us Pete .

There are still 123 points to play for
I hated that away end yesterday

Just around me I heard; Booing the owner, Eccles getting slaughtered, Wright is shit and lazy following his miss

I'm genuinely getting sick and tired of our fans, they are making supporting this club an utter misery at times - moan, moan, moan fucking moan

Back in the day, yes we were shit, the club was a circus and there was disdain towards the owners but the people who did bother to show up were united behind the players every step of the way - it's not like that anymore it seems after every misplaced pass or shot off target we want to be putting our players head under a guillotine

The entitlement levels of our fans is becoming embarrassing. No appreciation of how far we’ve come and how things were not so long ago.

It's what following a normal, stable football club looks like. Years of plastic pigs and pitch invasions followed by a few seasons of dewy-eyed positivity. Neither are a normal state of affairs. Do you think we're any different to other clubs? How many times were Sunderland booed off last season? It's what expectations do.

Tbh, there was very little negativity around me yesterday. Was a bit flat compared to normal, but team were backed, managers name chanted, team clapped off at the end. Not sure what the issue is. Some people will react differently, leave them be, you can't control what other people think

good game yesterday. we won the first half, and drew the second half, so a bit disappointing that we didn't come away with 3 points. but could very easily have slipped away from us, so we'll take the point. plenty of teams will leave there with nothing this season.

had to sit in the home stand again, which is shit. at least it was right next to the away bit, so got a good view of our fans.
did us proud, as always. well done, guys!!!

As much as the end to last season pissed me right off and I wasn't really having the tiredness rubbish, I basically took it to mean we're all on the beach but we're going to be ready to go at the start of next season.
I put the end out of my mind and was looking forward to this season. But to pretend the way we're trending isn't slightly concerning over the amount of games you're talking about, is to just bury your head in the sand imo.

The desire to be in there top league was always there.

there is an appreciation of where we were but the fact is we’re not anymore. Got to get out of that “little Coventry” mentality both Doug and Robins have encouraged this.

what’s happened is we’re no longer needing a siege mentality where it’s us v the world. We had constant improvement right up until the play off final. It’s now declining.

don’t get me wrong I’m a little frustrated we’re yet again starting the season slow. I think we’ll turn it around after 10 games but once again we’ve gave ourselves an uphill battle

Yeah don’t really get the hate for people who aren’t happy with the start when they voice it in a reasonable way like yourself.

The level of expectation given the money we’ve spent is completely understandable and it does not align with the number of points on the board at all.

Im not worried yet though as I’ve seen enough from our performances to think we’ll get better. I think I’d be more worried if we’d made a stellar start, but basically fluked a load of goals from not creating all that much.

Was it booing the owner?
Or was it booing that stupid song about him?
Singing a song about the clubs owner has always been pathetic and was, always going to end in tears.

We also could have easily have lost - we concede now every game and the goals conceded are poor.

It seems like we are conceding many more good quality chances to the opposition than we did in the playoff season. Hopefully keeping the defence the same for a while and having that bit of continuity will see things tighten up.

Well it's very fitting isn't it .

Pre game I'm absolutely 100% positive many people predicted a defeat and many would have taken a draw because they all know Watford are a decent team.

We go there , play well for the most part and draw and you would think we lost , I still don't understand what people are angry about in regards to yesterday's performance ?
