Watfords demise is a strange one they were on for at least the play offs not so long ago, this fixture is a must win game for both of us, draw not a lot of good, just shows what an unpredictable division this is

I assume we will have to play 2 forwards. I’d personally play Walker for an hour then bring godden on later and tell Walker to run and try and stretch the defence

Watford seem to be on the beach already, they have a collection of talented individuals but a team of mercenaries who simply don't care.

Be great to win this.
The final nail in our play off hope coffin was defeat to Bournemouth last Easter Monday, be nice to carry them a bit further into the season this year.

And would set up a great away day at QPR next week.
Agree with the general point but Bournemouth was game 43 last year, Easter was a lot later (bloody Pagans) and the World Cup has pushed things back. Blackburn's the equivalent this year, if we're still in it after that we'll have done better.

Whatever we do I do hope it doesn't include Godden he has been shocking for us, even if Walker is going he deserves another chance but I guess it will be Godden playing....again

Not many positive signs for this one.
Lowish crowd on the back of a couple of mediocre performances, ‘star’ players not doing it, especially Vik who’s mind (and body) seem elsewhere. 2 games in a few days when we don’t seem the fittest bunch.
Another 0:0 on the cards. Hope they surprise me…

I'm making this game Monday and I want to see a cracker with us winning it. Surely players like Vik do not need much motivation knowing how close we are? he is due a goal or two so fingers crossed. Watford are up and down form wise. Huddersfield beat them so why can't we?

Love people throwing out these phrases “release the shackles”… “go hung ho”…
What do you actually want in real terms? Tell me the formation / personal that your request equates to?

Yeah you're right thinking about it.

Knowing pretty much anything but a win would finish our season, I'd much rather us try and stiffle the game to death, offer fuck all and hope to nick a 1 nil. Maybe make a defensive sub after 80 mins.

Gyokeres needs a rocket up his arse as a starter.

Do you work in marketing? Job going at the club apparently.

I take it you didn’t watch the past 2 games. Been really open games with loads of chances (too many at our own end).

Watford are staying at the Hilton in walsgrave, they said they have had a massive bollocking for last week and are up for this game big time.

They are a good team on their day can’t really understand what’s gone wrong there, strange. They have a Stoke result in them but hopefully we can get off to a better start.

1-0 defeat today followed by a 2-0 defeat at QPR.

This feels like when I went and looked at the Watford forum haha.

I really hope we can hold onto this playoff dream a little longer, all the other results have been going our way even though ours haven’t, fingers crossed we can grind out a result today and against QPR #PUSB

Yeah I watched both. Swansea in particular was a pathetic effort in terms of intent to win a game. It was only really Swanseas own ineffectiveness in the final third that stopped us getting another hiding.

Trying not to lose only goes so far and isn't a tactic I want to see deployed when you are chasing playoffs.

Similar to how many see Southgates England. All good until it really matters, then you actually have to go out to win.

We watched different games then. We went away from home to Swansea and played the full backs really high up, we caught Swansea in their own 3rd numerous times because we pressured high up the pitch and probably should’ve scored 3. Equally could’ve conceded 3 but to say we went there to snuff the game out is crazy.

I think there must have been a full moon or something this week! Some crazy comments been made.
Said on another thread, we're still out performing the teams around us bar Preston. It's almost as if taking the initiative in a tense, end of season play off battle isn't quite as easy as some make out.

Yeah it is somewhat defeatist but I just don't see us getting too many results in these last few games. Regardless, it's still been an almighty effort.
Not helped of course by the loss of the goal machine, Allen.
Be delighted to be proven wrong though.

The 'forward' comments are silly but we hear that at matches all the time. The really crazy ones are those saying we don't want it enough and Gyokeres has already checked out.
