Why? He'll do what the manager asks for the good of the team - as he should, think it's harsh to be overly critical for that.
I haven't heard Robins' reasoning but if he played him ahead of Hyam for tactical reasons rather than fitness then it's on Robins.
Yep he was played for his physicality ahead of Hyam which I agree he has more than Hyam but cb it’s not his position

Disappointed yes but that's football. Really hope Kane gets a decent run in the team now, he's looking like a really good signing

You argued and argued it telling people they were wrong?

Rose and dabo though, they look the same.
No I didn’t. I asked how he was at fault for the goal and someone shared the video showing exactly why he was at fault. That’s how these things work you banana

You were acting like somebody had just slapped your gran because they mention it. Then go on about him doing a one two.

Sorry if it came across like that I genuinely wasn’t and I wasn’t playing a game. Now I’ve seen it it’s completely bizarre what he did. Love to know what he was thinking

Rose made as many if not more errors passing from the back today. It was the forum turning on one of our better players en mass that I was hating. And as for likening him to burge well wtaf

The forum pointing out facts of what happened in the game. He wasn't one of our better players today.

Can’t be too hard on the team as West Brom are a good outfit, much better than I was expecting. But we were shite really, so many poor individual performances and thought the worst when I saw Dabs at CB. Bizarre looking decision from Robins upon hearing that was tactical and out of the blue really as always had Hyam down as one of his reliables.

Have prepared myself for a continuation of this mediocre run with wins few and far between and then a plateau into mid table position. This would still be progress. But we have given ourselves a chance and who knows.

Someone showed me I thought it was rose and fadz not fadz and Dabo and hadn’t realised he just didn’t run
If you look at that first goal (from the Sky coverage), as the play developed, you can see that Dabo is on his heels, and just doesn’t seem to be engaged in the play, looks like he’s totally switched off. To me, we need to play the 3 centre backs as a 3, with Kane and Maatsen in the wing back positions. This is purely on form, I think Dabo could do with a rest. Not saying Dabo’s a poor player, we have a squad we should use it to reflect form.

Don’t think we were as poor as some are making out. West Brom pressed us out of the game in the first half giving us no time or space to play, much like Swansea did. Only way out of that is quick, precise passing, and we weren’t quite our best in that department.
Second half, West Brom sit back a bit to defend their lead and suddenly we look a much better team.

We’ll, it caught up with us today. Can’t keep giving teams a head start and then expecting to come out with anything. We got bit on the backside.

Alan Smith (on Sky) mentioned that we were the ‘nearly men’ as we got into so many good positions but the final ball let us down. This is spot on, our approach play is excellent until that final pass - prime example being O’Hare playing the ball 5 yards in front of Godden, when he should have had a tap in. It’s by no means the only example. This is why we will probably finish outside the play-offs, but hopefully comfortably in the top half of the table. This will still be positive, we are competitive with any team in this league, and only lost today to a goal that should have been disallowed. I don‘t like VAR, but……..

For the second goal it looked like the ball was over the line before it was cleared from my seat in line with the goal line, so i assumed the handball which i also saw was secondary to goal line tech although I've not seen any replays yet.
I'm more concerned with the selection of Dabo at CB today and then to left back for the second half, does he have a clause where he has to play, I'm not suggesting he shouldn't play in his normal position but to pick him ahead of an established CB and then take off a left back to keep him out there is just doubling down on what for me was a selection error.
Yep, agree with the point around the selection of Dabo at centre back, seemed a strange decision, not to be repeated, I hope. As for the handball, VAR would definitely have disallowed it.

Is a bit odd. Hyam was obviously fit because he came on eventually , and has been in decent form , and dabo at centre back has never worked before. Almost as if he doesn’t want to drop one of kane/maatsen/dabo

We're too predictable, I really think we miss waghorn .. might laugh but our form since his injury isn't great with vik doing waghorns job and godden doing viks job ...

We are too Sammy clingan ATM and its easy to play against
Godden didn’t do Vic’s job today
