MR is looking at his squad and already will have an idea of who he will fight to keep and who he will work to move on. That process has already started. The inclusion of Tavares and Dananga yesterday was forced, but could be an look into the future come summer and beyond as to who is on his plans. He has to blend homegrown in to the nucleus of his squad and hopefully find a few gems in the process. He also has to take risks on younger players from premier clubs with the same theory in mind.
It's simple really, if a kid has potential and can perform better than a senior player who is on 5 times as much in wages we all know who is push on and who is pushed out. It's brutal but it's football and it's business that sentiment has no place, its just an evolving process to improve a club.
MR has done that and I seriously think we will be actively moving 12 players out and starting with 15 players he sees who can help him progress to the next level. I also think out will include 1 of the big 3 come summer, which I'd take to keep the other 2. MR has created a culture that is bringing results more wins, more fans and more expectations. With that he knows he needs more quality, that takes time to bring in and time to produce a high level of youngster. It's a good time to be a fan and we should enjoy seeing it, sadly some will go but keeping MR and staff will be key and the most important come summer. For that he needs support and trust from the owners and patience from the fans.
