Nah, exactly the same thought. Same old shit every year:
English Prem: Man utd, Man city.
SPL: Celtic, Rangers
I always try to explain to people that the football leagues are the some of the best leagues in the world (Championship, L1, L2), cause you can never predict who will go up/down, and that there is never a side who wins every game. Prem fans always say: "Nah! Thats not true! Man city and Man Utd are pretty close now!" So what? It's all about money...

when we were in the top flight before Sky there was a chance of winning things, although we didn't win a lot. Smaller teams won more then. Now it is extra money for the big clubs, whilst the smaller clubs risk everything to stay in the promised land, paying overinflated wages to average players. A lot of the games are too much one sided. Not much chance of teams getting promoted these days and having a run at the top of the table. Too predictable now. I have the full Sky package, but rarely watch Prem games. Watch Championship games though as any team can beat any other team, just like the Prem used to be.

Very true. I used to love the transfer windows in the Premiership. I couldn't care less anymore. It's such a boring merry-go-round of obscene money and players who probably couldn't pick out their new homes on a map if you asked them.

) Spurs looked hopeful for a while. Newcastle vastly improving and could be a threat over the next couple of years. Liverpool........err actually forget Liverpool.Not quite like your Scottish league yet.

How have Arsenal done in recent years? Blackburn was a lot of years ago now, but also done with a rich owner. Money talks now. Lack of money means a good chance of getting relegated or spend millions you do not have and still risk relegation. Sure not as bad as the Scottish game though.

But they are still there or there abouts and with the right buys could be challenging again. It's not like there is the two Manc clubs and they a 20 point gulf to anyone else.
Spurs have shown the blue print on how to do it and in reality have spent very little money considering. Norwich, Swansea this year have also proved it can be done.
I do agree that money is everything in football these days, however, I don't put the full blame at Sky's door.

Since the Premiership was created in 93, Man united have won it countless times, Arsenal a few, Chelsea twice I think? And Blackburn once. Possibly one of the worst leagues in the world, a league created to make the big teams/companies rich and leave the poor clubs (and fans) to get poorer.

I'd say they were. They've turned into a faceless, soulless club. The only connection to Man City those players have is that they happen to wear light blue on a Saturday. They could be called Chelsea or Liverpool or Tottenham and nobody would notice the difference.

I don't have any stats but would be interested to see how that differs to say the German and Italian leagues? Most leagues have consistently good sides. Always have always will.
Again, how about the 20 years before the Prem was there that many different sides winning league 1? Suppose I should really google it.

A big club these days is a big bank account,chelsea aren't a so called big there hardcore fanbase is not much different man utd and Liverpool biggest fanbase,money is man city and chelsea,on history of success it Liverpool and man utd,I don't mind what league were in I will still go to all games at least we can get pissed and have laugh and maybe just maybe win more often away
