Okay this is clearly one sided but again this points to our club demanding things that may not be realistic, why would wasps bend over backwards when they could be brought to legal action. It's sounds like a sensible reaction to leave it on the table until the dust settles.

Ultimately this doesn't help the club and puts pressure on us again to get some deal done

Not saying it's all his fault but it does seem strange that the relationship we almost built with Wasps under Waggott does all but seem diminished under Anderson.

What we need to aid our on field campaign is more off field distractions

Why? Nothing to be worried about in the legal actions, the deal with Wasps had nothing underhand about it. It could bring cost maybe but if they're confident of their position SISU will be paying (again). Maybe I'm being simplistic.

That's how I read it. I don't see it as a negative this at all. He is telling us what to do and we can get a 20-25 year deal. That's what been talked about. That's encouraging

Yes it's wasps cards and playing to their tune and I hate it but we need to do something. The door is open.

Drop the legals. Or we don't drop them and we are all left like this. I know which one I would do.

To expand (and quote myself) I don't usually like the splitting of owners from club - ultimately owners control the direction of club.

Now, however... *we* have to. Insisting the club drops legal action is as much bullying as anything SISU have done. Coventry is my home, the place I was born. Coventry City and CRFC are part of my home. I want them to still be in a decade's time... not Wasps.

Could well be an option, offsetting the losses against your tax bill. This is the kind of thing that Sisu specialise in to make money. Just wish they would sell up and go, don't think they will though as they will just continue to litigate and saddle the club with the cost when it all ends. And in the mean time the club and fans will continue to suffer and relationships between parties that could help get even more bitter. Someone needs to break the cycle so this shit ends but God knows who has the heart or interest to do it.

So what then, sisu don't drop the JR and wados refuse to negotiate with us, while they have us bent over shafting our academy..
Hes a grade A c-unit and I'm convinced the council are putting pressure on them to take this stance.

Funny his the council, higgs and acl could agree a deal to bring us back whilst they were being taken to court. Wasps aren't even involved, its about the councils decision.

Clearly SISU must think they have a chance of winning in the courts or they wouldn't go through with this action surely. Where I work, we know if we can win a case and will fight it (sometimes it costs us more but it's the principal) and we know when we have to talk 'deal'. Sisu have at great expense gone through numerous court sittings but to no avail.
My concern is that this saga will conclude too late for our club and we will be forced on the move again. We have one more year to sort something out, we cannot move into the butts in that timescale and I doubt ccc will let us regardless. I just cannot see any option and push has now come to shove with answers needed now.

Brighton set up the Withdean pretty quickly.

It's not ideal, not in the slightest. In fact... it's pretty shit.

But if the alternative is oblivion, or Northampton again... it's the best option then a slow, agonising death, being forced into inappropriate deals.

At the very least, we must surely learn from our mistakes when we did just that by moving into the Ricoh in the first place!

Agree but they didn't have a council who do not want them to go ahead with it. What I cannot understand is what sisu's end game is here, avenues are being closed and ideas running thin. I honestly cannot see us playing within Coventry in the next two years

I'd assume a smaller temporary stadium would be a lot easier to get through planning than that which is proposed long term.

I suspect Wasps did this on CCC request. Seems very vague and he does say it is none of his business if the club want to take legal action again the council.
