Think we are very close to the end game now.
Be surprised if he managed to keep a straight face coming out with that.“The key point in that is we very much want the football club to be at the Ricoh. You have said yourself, it is the home that was built for them and we recognise that and we’re very respectful of that"
Don't we still have 1 year left at the Ricoh? Simple answer is to drop the Legal actions isn't it?OK, so now we *have* to get behind the Butts... as a temporary home, at least.
Else it's back to Northampton!

Why? Nothing to be worried about in the legal actions, the deal with Wasps had nothing underhand about it. It could bring cost maybe but if they're confident of their position SISU will be paying (again). Maybe I'm being simplistic.Don't we still have 1 year left at the Ricoh? Bang on, is there really noise. The last appeal went by with little comment, its was merely Meh!Simple answer is to ignore legal action, as it's SISU taking it, and not CCFC.
What a crock of shit.
We're being gang banged by higgs, CSF, CCC, wasps.

Me thinks wasps are getting leaned on by someone.....any coincidence in this and the planning application...

It's one and the same, they own us and represent us. You cannot negotiate with ccfc without SISUSimple answer is to ignore legal action, as it's SISU taking it, and not CCFC.

Could well be an option, offsetting the losses against your tax bill. This is the kind of thing that Sisu specialise in to make money. Just wish they would sell up and go, don't think they will though as they will just continue to litigate and saddle the club with the cost when it all ends. And in the mean time the club and fans will continue to suffer and relationships between parties that could help get even more bitter. Someone needs to break the cycle so this shit ends but God knows who has the heart or interest to do it.Liquid can't bring myself to say it
Then why stop talks if it is only noise and not the be all end all?He is telling you there is noise. He also said legals are not the be all end all. He said they don't help. There is noise.
How is he wrong?

So what then, sisu don't drop the JR and wados refuse to negotiate with us, while they have us bent over shafting our academy..He has just told you. It makes things very difficult. He is right. Surely?
To expand (and quote myself) I don't usually like the splitting of owners from club - ultimately owners control the direction of club.
Now, however... *we* have to. Insisting the club drops legal action is as much bullying as anything SISU have done. It may not be conducive to such a relationship but me, personally, I'd rather it all followed its process, CCC were entirely cleared of wrongdoing, and SISU were shown up as scum. Would far rather that than the stench that comes when people force entities to not defend themselves, to roll over and have their tummy tickled.
I also refuse to give in to a franchise. This is scum v scum. Enemies are all over the place. We have... more than one enemy. We have our owners, Wasps, CCC. Currently the enemy of our enemies is our friend... CRFC. They have a ground that, at worst, can be developed sufficiently to be a temporary home, to allow us to at least continue to exist if nothing else, while this plays out.
Part of me says just put CCFC out of its misery. But instinct tells me while it's got a heartbeat, and life and, if going in with CRFC can help CRFC avoid being overwhelmed by Wasps and sent to oblivion... I'll support the Coventry teams over the London upstarts.
Every time.
Coventry is my home, the place I was born. Coventry City and CRFC are part of my home. I want them to still be in a decade's time... not Wasps.
Clearly SISU must think they have a chance of winning in the courts or they wouldn't go through with this action surely. Where I work, we know if we can win a case and will fight it (sometimes it costs us more but it's the principal) and we know when we have to talk 'deal'. Sisu have at great expense gone through numerous court sittings but to no avail.
My concern is that this saga will conclude too late for our club and we will be forced on the move again. We have one more year to sort something out, we cannot move into the butts in that timescale and I doubt ccc will let us regardless. I just cannot see any option and push has now come to shove with answers needed now.
So now we have both CCC and Wasps basically trying to blackmail the club into dropping legal action. Makes you wonder if the JR2 case isn't stronger than we all think. Why? Nothing to be worried about in the legal actions, the deal with Wasps had nothing underhand about it.
Agree but they didn't have a council who do not want them to go ahead with it. What I cannot understand is what sisu's end game is here, avenues are being closed and ideas running thin. I honestly cannot see us playing within Coventry in the next two yearsBrighton set up the Withdean pretty quickly.
It's not ideal, not in the slightest. In fact... it's pretty shit.
But if the alternative is oblivion, or Northampton again... it's the best option then a slow, agonising death, being forced into inappropriate deals.
At the very least, we must surely learn from our mistakes when we did just that by moving into the Ricoh in the first place!

Or alternatively Sisu can stop this legal action. They keep losing but keep pushing.
Must be really hard to do any negotiation with legal wranglings going on all over the place.
