Ok i support the groundshare at sixfields. please state you support it here too if you do. the point of this thread is to give those fans who are not anti sisu or anti groundsharing an opportunity to say so. there are a majority i think of fans on sbt who are against sisu and the groudshare thats fare enough, but many fans support our owners and agree to the groundshare as they want out of the morgue.

please dont turn this thread into playground material, its just for fans to show we do not all agree with acl and we do support the groundshare. i for one will be happy to travel to sixfields to watch my team. i think the fans saying they wont go are entitled to their opinion . . but me ill follow my team even if it meant they play on the rec

I would support groundshare if I was 100% convinced ACL/CCC have refused any further negotiations after club receive back the golden share and the door is closed to potential new owners.
I will support a groundshare if ACL refuse the CVA and thereby inflict a -15 point penalty on the club.
I will definitely support a groundshare if the judge accept sisu has a case against CCC and allow further court procedings.

You're brave; I'll give you that.

I will not be going to Sixfields, unless we get an away cup game there.

Starving SISU out seems to be the only option left to us. My worry is that they clearly don't care at all for the club, so we don't know what their motivation is. I can't understand how they will ever get their money back, even with a pointless new stadium, and they must know this. So, what are they trying to do?

It is an incredibly sad time, and if the Football League allow this, it just proves how toxic the game has become.

You do realise if this whole SISU plan goes though we will never actually play IN Coventry again?

People would be in favour had we been evicted from the Ricoh or it otherwise been made unavailable due to circumstances well beyond the club's control. That is however patently not the case here and so very few people with at least a basic grasp of the situation will support it.

It's so ****ing obvious that SISU are just trying to distress others to get Ricoh for naff all. One tiny part of me could almost put up with that if I could honestly see that the football club would ultimately benefit from it. But then I ask myself waht the football club is - it's all about the fans. And then I ask what SISU care about us fans - and that's where I (and I suspect, many others) have a BIG problem. If they don't care for us, why do we think their goal is to do what's best for the club?. I forget the poster's name, but I thought it interesting (if depressing) that SISU may ultimately be happy if we continue to be a failing 'business' as they can offset our losses against profit making areas of their business. That for me is the clincher in how I view them - Also, where is the next generation of fans coming from if they are happy to bob along on 2-3,000 a game (half of which will be from Northampton and the (other) away support?:(:(:(

Support it on a temporary basis. Hate the soulless, plastic Ricoh and a chance to move from it to another ground in the city is a welcome one for me.

But that's not the reason SISU are moving us. And do you honestly think the council would approve another stadium build in the city?

The groundshare is SISU's means to an end.

It's what it is leading to is the problem.....

A tin pot ground outside Coventry. 3 years of struggle with a high risk of further relegation.

or ...

... stay at the Ricoh, invest in the team and have half a chance of PL.

Show SISU that you want to stay in Coventry and at the Ricoh.
It's only a morgue because of the fans. Success will fill it but it requires SISU (or..) to invest in the club rather than themselves.

The new stadium will not be fit for purpose for a club serving a city the size of Coventry in addition to our proud history.

Good luck to you but surely you can see where this is heading. Supporting SISU blindly will be at the expense of the team.
I guess the players do not want this so why would you?

What if SISU sold the club to say to the American or far east consortium, who then would buy the Ricoh outright and commit to investment in the team, would you take that option?

I'm going on the basis that it's 20mins from stony Stratford and I wasn't going to entertain going to Walsall or blues ground.I was planning on taking my lad and getting a season ticket at Northampton until we move back to Cov.How very ironic it has turned out, hence I'm in.

Can you explain your comment - Im not taking the mic, just want to know more....what do you mean exactly?

Here is a scenario (I'm not saying it will happen, just gaming it out):

CCFC move to Northampton. Sisu/Otium buys some land near Coventry and applies for planning permission for a stadium. Planning battles mean after three years no plans have been agreed, let alone a brick laid. ACL meanwhile pootle along breaking even or whatever. The three years are up the football league grants Cov an extension or faces a legal battle from Sisu to get one. Five years have passed. The plans are now in a judicial review. ACL still haven't folded. How long does Sisu hold out in Northampton hoping that ACL goes bust? Do they throw in the towel at some point, liquidate the club and sell the land and Ryton?

I'm really in two minds about this, I just want to go and watch football on a Saturday. :thinking about:

In which case, I'm sure that you'll find lots of clubs nearer than Northhampton where you can watch Football to your hearts content.

Wouldn't it be ironic if ACL survived through bringing in a new tenant associated with the oval rather than the round ball and the new M69 derby turns out to be Saints v Tigers!!

Be better to spend the season ticket money on a bet on us going down.
Quick, get the bets in before the odds plummet when we get hit with 15 point penalty.

So, who will fund the building of our new stadium. No doubt it will be one of the shadier parts of SISU who are the title owners. They will then charge CCFC rent at the highest rate they can secure for SISU HQ but also own the asset. It will be good business for SISU but I don't believe CCFC will be much better off overall. Mind you, Joy will be able to keep her investors happy.

Why? Because he just wants to go and watch a football match?

No because he is aiding a long and lingering painful death.
If every single person stuck together the FL and SISU would see were united in being against this.
It might be a bad month or so but if not one person went it would all be over much quicker. The word Naive comes to mind.

On another note, if they did ever get the ok to build a new stadium, what would our rent be then? Do these people think we will get it for nothing, the investors who deal with SISU would bleed us dry.
