Not sure what it is exactly, but we look a lot more dangerous whenever Walker is on the pitch. Personally, I think he’s the best we’ve got at the club.

If I was picking the team, I’d have have one of Gyo/Waghorn and one of Godden/Walker as my strike partnership.

We did enough yesterday to win, let alone draw, the game yesterday without Kelly - you’re right.

Goals win games, we had plenty of very good chances to score yesterday and didn't take any of them. The only one they got they put it away and unless we want many more very frustrating afternoons of losing to otherwise crap teams we need our attacking players especially to be more clinical.

As for the partnerships, unfortunately the only 2 fit strikers available are the ones who make the least effective duo. A real shame as Walker looked right up for it yesterday.

Obviously leadership counts, but you don’t put in substandard players for it. Leaders need to be respected and lead by example, if you’re the worst player on the pitch you can’t lead because you won’t be respected.

I haven’t got an issue with you not rating Kelly and of course you entitled to an opinion just like I am entitled to see it differently and challenge it.

Football isn’t just about passing is it?
Kelly’s pass completion last season was 66% which isn’t great but what about other attributes he brings? Leadership, heart, organisation, communication, leading by example, the odd goal (the 2 he scored against Wycombe)

In my opinion, when Kelly plays the team is better.

He is also always available, even in very tight situations. He provides an outlet ball to his team mates, helping them out of difficult areas. With this in mind, it’s not surprising that pass completion rate is lower than others.
Fortunately players are not just judged on stats alone. The impact a player has on the game, the way they play is still more truely gauged by simply watching the game. Last season we were a better team when Kelly played. That is bourne out by better results but also by the evidence provided by our own eyes. We were a better organised, more cohesive more effective unit when Kelly played. That is not just down to Kelly as a leader, but Kelly as a player too. He is a Championship standard player and rarely dipped below that level in the games he played last year.

No Kelly is key to our squad. If people couldn’t tell the difference he made to our team last year they were watching a different game. Kelly with either Hamer or Sheaf we will be a lot better and more balanced
