We would have been better off with Robins (4 Viewers)

He did. In your opinion for not long enough in my opinion for too long. We truly will never know which is what makes this a subject for debate !
Too long ? Jesus frank doesn't have much time then

Dean Austin and King said that no players were signed without Robins' agreement
Agreement yes. Choice no.

Should Robins have kept saying no to players because they were not giving him the players he would have chosen? We already started the season without cover for all positions yet brought in a striker we didn't need. Did we bring him in only because he was the top scorer for WBA last season?

In my opinion it was more than 14 games Evo . Yes there were extenuating circumstances but the form at the end of last season was terrible with the exception of the Cup games. There was a Eureka moment last season at Preston away when tactics changed but Adi was still on the scene then. There were no signs of a similar moment this season. We will always disagree on this but the only thing that matters now is the future. We will see in time whether what he have now is an improvement

Well again that's pure guess work chris and I'd say probably slightly disrespectful to robins

Well he has no responsibility for signings, doesn’t get hugely involved in coaching, isn’t responsible for motivation - what was Robins responsible for?

Yes you have but it my opinion it's not 6 games it goes longer . It was the manner of the performances that suggested nothing was improving

The form leading upto the last 6 games last season was won 6 drew 1 lost 3 .. that's 1.9 ppg .

We then played 3 teams that finished in the top 7 from the last 6 and 2 were promoted , our squad was fucked .

The end of last season being used is really really clutching

I'm not being argumentative I'm being reasonable

Conveniently using selective periods of this season isn’t being reasonable. Also you’ve looked at results since which have been against a lot of top 7 sides. You are being hugely selective

I hope you enjoy the years to come , as much as you enjoyed the years before him ..

I'm sure you will

Ipswich and Southampton were promoted , we lost 3-2 to hull 3 days after man utd

3 top 7 sides in our final 6 games @Grendel

If we are being honest we played 4 of the top 7 in our last 7 games .. but we beat one

Most of the years of success were winning in trophies we can no longer win. Robins hasn’t had any trophy achievement than any other manager in the last 60 years

Our last 6 games under Robins achieved 7 points and was exactly the same as his ratio over the whole season.

Since his departure our fixtures have included games against 3 of the top 7 teams and Millwall who were unbeaten in 9

Sound john sillet achieved more than jimmy hill .. cheers

He did as did other managers achieving survival in the biggest league at the time

So in the last 8 games of last season a record of W1 D1 L6 is acceptable? Come on now

No - many people - including you - cite two wins as evidence he was turning it round. It meant we managed to scrape a pathetic 7 points out of 6 games

No chris but against hull haji wright and simms couldn't start because they were fucked , against Southampton away we were bringing on academy graduates .

Fans love a good waffle don't they

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

What insane nonsense

Gordon Strachan , phil neil etc achieved more than jimmy hill

I doubt robins would have achieved what Gordon Milne did.

So our results since Haji was injured can be excused? The same player robins saw fit to leave out of 33% of game time when he was manager?

Why are You swerving traffic I'm specifically talking to chris about the end of last season .. and you've come in and started moving the argument ? Why did you even but in ?

So its excusable to lose to the sides you are competing against for a play off spot ? Precisely the opposite applies

So is that not a recruitment issue ? Who sanctioned the squad back up signings ?

😂😂😂😂😂 we started without 3 of our best players as they weren't match fit ffs what's wrong with you

Youd have had a job sacking him during the playoff run 🤣

Robins is an unusual manager being here for six years when King arrived. He was basically unsackable. Just saying it’s rare an owner comes in and gets on with the people there. New toy, they want their people, just personality clashes, whatever.

When Sisu decided to sell up it was probably always the beginning of the end for robins.
This is hilarious.

So he had planned to sack him as soon as he joined but waited for nearly two whole seasons worth of games to do it rather than at the earliest sign of trouble/poor form last season.

Right.

And other sides didn't have the same problem throughout the season? Come on Evo . Ffs what's wrong with you that you refuse to consider a level playing field over the duration of a whole season.

Grendel mark robins achieved a promotion and championship survival whilst groundsharing mate

I’ve said adversity management was his strength as the only other club he did well at was Rotherham

Right.
And gave him and his assistant new contracts plus tens of millions in transfer funds. Does seem rather far fetched doesn't it.
