Yep, 2 showers a day! Although a hot day with a football shirt isn't a fragrance armani are going to be introducing anytime soon.

Especially when you go in the pub after and people are humming but don't realise

I'll stick to a polo shirt or something for my own and people around mes sake if it's warm!

I stopped wearing colours at the football when I was 11. Have no issue with those who wish to so though, it's just not everyone's thing.

Just my opinion but middle aged men in football shirts look pretty sad..I always have a scarf normally but draw a line when it's 25 degrees .and come winter most people have big coats on anyway

Hate the new home shirt with that big blue square on the back. Looks all wrong to me.
Red away shirt is quality.

To be fair though, it looks ok with the names and numbers on the back, not sure you'd be able to read them if it wasn't for the blue square, however they should've done a replica without for the fans.

I was wearing the red top yesterday. I have both, but prefer the away. I reckon I'll wear the home top for walsall away. I think it would be great though to see everyone in sky blue.

I wore the red and son wore the sky blue. I couldn't care what people wear...far better to hear the shouts of encouragement, the general support and the hum of excitement round the place. At half time in the toilet queue the crowd were buzzing about the way we were playing

Great atmosphere inside the Ricoh yesterday it reminded me of the Gillingham return home game but with obviously less fans.But what has always puzzled me is when I look around and see City supporters not wearing the Sky Blue,why is that ?
It should be compulsory to wear a shirt or top in our colours if I had my way. Come on now wear the Sky Blue or your not coming in !

It cost me an average of £150 per match to watch my beloved skyblues. At my age 60++++ I do not have to wear a shirt to show how much I love my club.

Respect Alan for travelling down from the North to support the City. But I'm 60 too and wear a City shirt and in the winter a City Jacket with the badge on.It's probably just me but a couple of other fans have also said why fans never wear our colours ? Yet at the end of the day you're right it's more about being there and showing your support.

I use to like wearing the replica kit.
But as I am in my 50s I have been told that I am to old for that now.
Wish the would bring out some nice CCFC tee shirts used to have some nice ones in the past, maybe that is the way forward for us old foggies.

I took a new approach yesterday. Wore a T shirt while drinking before the game, then put my shirt on just before heading to Ricoh, then at around 6, switched back to T shirt.

Like you say, you could have 1 or 10 showers before the game, but the shirts make you stink, unless it's 2 degrees lol.

The polo shirts and other casual tops do look great this year

I love it when you can see loads of sky blue, just remember the derby game at HR. I don't think it's sad adults wearing tops and following their team ( and before anyone starts, no it doesn't make you a better fan). I don't get people who wear band t shirts but again each to their own

That's because my one direction t shirt doesn't make me smell funny!

I have no issue with people wearing their teams shirt, although people in full kits (grown men) are different matters. Add to that when they are full kit with their own name on the back!

Took my 7 year old along yesterday, he had the choice of coming to the game or going to my mums, and as he went to a couple of games last season and didn't enjoy it (he hasn't shown any real interest in football before) he was originally choosing grandma's, but for some reason he chose the football at the last minute.

He was wearing the old city link top but when he saw so many people in the new home top he asked if he could have one. I ignored my usual value for money ethos and got him one, he put it on straight away and he pretty much turned into a City fan there and then. Even asked if he could go to the next game.

After the game he couldn't stop talking about it, went out to play football afterwards, wore the top all day today, and we had another trip to the park to play football this afternoon.

Best £36 ever spent.

I think wearing team colours (not necessarily replica shirts) adds to the ocassion and atmosphere.

I would rather see middle aged men at games in City shirt rather than whatever has replaced burberry as the latest brand of choice of wannabe hooligan chavs.

Enjoy it while it lasts my lad was the same for a few seasons can't get him to go now at the age of 20 really sad but hey who knows may get the buzz again when he leaves Uni......

It's all about personal choice; I very rarely wear any colours although I did have one of the new polo shirts on yesterday. I travel 80 miles to home games usually by train, sometimes on my own, so for me it's about not putting myself at risk of being abused by other groups of fans on the train particularly if I'm on my own.

It doesn't mean that you can't wear a football top when you are older just because some don't look good at all in one. It suits some but not others. It is like women and short skirts. Some older women look great in one. A lot of younger women shouldn't leave home with one on though.

I know the feeling used to go with dad and son. Dad died last year and son aged 22 said Saturday that the only thing missing was grandad not there to see it. I had a tear in my eye as I gave him a hug

I also know the feeling. In less than a year I have lost 6 members of my family including my dad. Only two of them were over 70. Lost my step dad last week. Two of them were big city supporters including my uncle who I went with for my first game. Have some great memories.

Enjoy your time together as a family as you don't know what is around the corner.
