It is just funny how now we have some decent FA cup games NOPM means slightly different things to different people.
Yep, I do. However I wasn't rabidly calling everyone scum and a scab for not going and ending every post with "I won't give a penny to SISU"...
Because it is just a name.
Are the only people allowed in the "Labour" party those who do manual work and women who are giving birth?
Come on that's a bit poor for you Tommy.
Not One Penny More has been pushed on here ad-nauseum since before the start of the season, and there has seemed to be little debate up until now what it means, cn't go changing the definitions just because it doesn't suit some people now that we have a big draw away in the FA Cup.
Those that have said that they won't go to Sixfields becuase it's not in Coventry but will support the club away regardless, fair enough, but those who have consistently said that those who do go to Sixfields are prolonging Sisu's reign at the club due to financially supporting them, but then want to go to Arsenal away to "support the team" are being more than a little hypocritical.
There will be some who won't go to Arsenal as they fully support NOPM, which is fair enough, consistency shown there, but lets not have people say that NOPM doesn't necessarily mean "Not One Penny More" when it suits.

I just wanted to say well done in advance to all those who have pledged to not give Sisu a penny more by showing immense will power and staying away from the Emerites Stadium. Proud of you!
If that upsets some purists (who oddly spend all there time supporting SISU, even while protesting how they don't) , then so be it.
Really, it doesn't matter to me if anyone
decides to go to Sixfields or not; to go to the Emirates or not.
One thing brings us together on this site and it's support of the same football club. What starts to upset the apple cart is when one side tells the other what they can and can't do. What they should and shouldn't do. When someone decides to start a campaign or movement with rules about what's acceptable and what isn't then those that support that campaign need to decide whether they'll abide by those "rules".
At the end of the day, it's not breaking any laws if they don't. No one is going to die or anything, are they? However, it's a bit rich to be chanting the NOPM mantra for six months and then change your interpretation to suit. I'm more than happy for people to change their minds, I just don't want my son and myself or anyone else who decides to support Coventry City at Sixfields to be called scum, scab etc by them.
Yep, I go to Sixfields and I never said I would, but then again I never slagged those off who did or didn't go before.
The accusations, the name calling and the hypocrisy should stop. We all agree that CCFC should not be playing in Northampton, but we are not going to change that situation. The only people who can take us back to Coventry are SISU, ACL and CCC. Regardless of how much we boycott this or that or slag each other off or stand on hills, etc fans cannot change the situation.
Why is it so hard for people to understand? The campaign is Keep Cov in Cov. Not One Penny More is a slogan. A simple slogan. Such as a slogan for a large political party was "yes we can". Slogans are a simple and effective way to express a feeling. It is not a law or a specific instruction. NOPM means different things to different people. To me it means not going to sixfields and not buying any merchandise from the shop. Others take it differently.
I have never once said NOPM to everything! Otherwise why would I even bother to waste my time on this forum? NOPM to everything is giving up.
Using it for not going to Sixfields, fair enough, but why not spend money on merchandise from the club shop?
hill83....I'll blame someone else when it's my own stupidity that stops me from quoting correctly................................................I've not blamed anyone, only made the statement that my "Reply with quotes" hasn't worked since the software update....btw, do you mean quote tags that YOU failed to use in the above post?

Out of interest can those that have a go at NOPM supporters actually give an example of someone who claims to be NOPM and has 'broken the rules'?
You are all stupid
My main difference is that whilst I agree that we fans cannot change the situation, I firmly believe that we can strongly influence it.
Nobody is crying? The only person crying is Tim Fisher with laughter while all of the people foaming like a rabid dog at the start of the season, abusing him and chanting about not giving him money hand over their money to him.
Your distorted view of reality makes you come across as a right fool sometimes, foaming at the mouth, jeez.
Come on that's a bit poor for you Tommy.

Have you seen how angry and over the top some people were? Lots saying they wouldn't ever give them a penny.
Notice I said some, some others will refuse to go to arsenal and fair play to them
Maybe. Maybe not. Personally, I don't think it'll make any difference. Marches, protests, bad press have all come and gone and we're no nearer a resolution.
Have you seen how angry and over the top some people were? Lots saying they wouldn't ever give them a penny.

Lots and some. What fantastic words.
So can you name 10 people that stated NOPM and are now giving up on this?
Yes, sorry of I don't have exact numbers. I assume you need them before commenting. I put some as in not all

I will once the game has happened to see who has 100% been
OK, so do they not deserve to be angry? was you not angry?
I wont go to Arsenal but would not begrudge for one second anyone who does. It's strange that you lot who seek "balance" in your arguments are accepting of the sixfield attendees but lambast anyone who dare want to go to Arsenal. Why? because they subscribed to NOPM and so are turncoating at the sniff of a big day out? Give these people a break. Do you not think its hard enough that they cant watch the team every other week? So a little goes in the SISU coffers, on the grand scheme of things these fans have had very little to cheer about for a long long time, who the fuck are you and your lot to have a pop all the time.
