Hey Cov city fans, I just wanted to say well played today. We (PNE fans) can go on and on about why we didn't win and why we should've won, but the bottom line is that when we lost control of the game and you took advantage of that. Sure, I was one of the angry fans with the referee and Joe Murphy, but after avoiding all football related news on the internet and calming down, I realised this isn't something that only happens to us, and if it were in reverse (with the ref making baffling decisions against you and our keeper giving you guys stick), I wouldn't think anything was wrong either.. so, I can accept it.

First half I felt we had full control. We kept possession of the ball well and had a couple of half chances, and I just felt like you didn't get going today. That was until after we scored and let you come into the game. We should've continued playing how we did in the first half after scoring our goal, but you really took advantage of us resorting to long balls and had my heart in my mouth a few times. You didn't stop until the final whistle and that at the end of the day was the reason we didn't get the win. Not because of the ref when he booked our player for handball and didn't book yours, not because he kept the game going past what the added time was.. since you should always play to the whistle. you did that, we didn't, and all the moaning from our fans about your keeper and the ref will never justify us for forgetting what we should have been doing. Plus, it was a cracking goal from Moussa. I knew it was in the second it left his boot.

So as gutted as I am after today, Enjoy your evening as I know I would be if it was us in your shoes. There are no hard feelings from me.. well played and all the best for the rest of the season (unless we meet in the playoffs).

Biting your tongue a bit here? Thanks though. We were there for the taking today and more than half of our team had off days. More than anything I think it is extremely good news that we are able to go to Deepdale and get a point from one of the best sides we have played (better than Orient and Wolves by my reckoning) when none of our team had a 10 out of 10 performance.

I'm not pleased they didn't play well but I'm pleased at what that suggests...

I'm sorry but you only have your fans to blame for not giving us the ball,if they had of given it to us there wouldn't of been that long added at the end !!!!!

Today was a great day for us sky blues. Its not often we get the chance to play in top notch stadiums like Deepdale against former double winners these days and to scrape a draw is amazing. I will remember this day as long as i live. It was ace.

I think Roadtrip46 has submitted a very genuine, well crafted post, obviously a proper football fan. Preston out played us, scored, then sat back (letting us back into the game). If they had kept up the same pressure on us after they scored they would have had a very easy win. Every Cov fan was well prepared for the loss until Franck hit that wonder strike, that's why it felt like a win.....but we were very lucky.

Jeez...I thought we clinged too much to past glories. "Double winners" ..pffff. At least our last trophy was in living memory. Id be more worried about being in the seemingly permenant shadow of the bigger and more illustrious Blackpool

Agree with your assessment there, as I was wheeling my dad away from the ground I was saying an undeserved point is more satisfying than a deserved one!

I think you beat us at our own game today, pressed well and didn't allow us to play our natural game although I don't think you created too many clear cut chances. Since the injury to Wilson and the fact we have played more players out of position, we have not looked the same team and we were exposed against a good, organised Preston team. I think you're quite a physical team but in a smart way, not giving away obvious fouls and made us look light in the tackle.

Good post - Refs do now give very long extensions to added time, trying to achieve the actual playing time?
We all know it is not nice to surrender a lead with the last kick of the game, which we suffered at Bradford.
Surprised the PNE players was booked for handball, although not intentional but it did thwart a promising attack. Frank's I think he was protecting his face but it was around the half way line.
