why didn’t he find a pass - there were two players free for a simple pass to feet up the line or central, but he took an extra couple of seconds then played it straight in the air into touch - he’s a professional footballer, should be able to make a simple pass from there ‘mate’

Half time summary - reasonable. Some things are improving but still a little slow and I still think it’s the connection between midfield and attack. Rudoni is a good player but not a 8 or 10.

I don’t think we have played badly. Just need to move the ball quicker as we are letting them get their shape making it harder for us to play through them. Bassette is being snuffed out because by the time the ball gets forward he’s being marked. We looked at our most dangerous when we played a few quicker more direct balls

Bassette tries hard but is miscast as a lone striker - shift him out wide if you want to keep him on, but we need Simms on to hold up the ball upfront.

Instead of the left back playing lcb in possession they seem to to be leaving him wide and having sheaf play as a half back and join with the cbs to make a 3 in the build up stage.

Milan seems a lot narrower today,, some times he seems almost to be in cm

We haven’t done badly. Yes they better with ball but only had a few shots (one deflected in)…think defence much better and we have created a couple of near chances. Get their player on a yellow isolated and run at him. Their keeper much better/more confident than Collins. Certainly still in this game
