Arse. Not sure that there's much else to say. We're obviously lacking in confidence up front, and desperately in need of shoring up the spine of the team in midfielder and defence. Not seeing much of a difference from Lampard so far...
there's loads of difference

the players look like they know what they are meant to be doing for once, the execution needs working on but if you really think that then crack on.

Has Collins 8 goals in 14 attempts improved?

Wilsons distribution may have been fucking shite but don't compare the two.

The Grant goal - Lati got sucked into an area he didn't need to, and had shifted his weight, leaving him totally at sea (more his fault than Thomas imo). Regardless, I'm hoping Saka was just taken off to save him for Saturday. Sheaf had a very average game - thought he and Eccles were fairly anonymous first half. EMC flatters to deceive, but I still think he will improve. Simms first touch still awful. but I'd like to see him in the middle on the end of crosses. We need to whip the ball in more regularly - if we do that, players wil make the runs (like torp and Rudoni nearly got on the end of). Played ok, but with some poor performances dotted about. Ironically their wingers 'threat' never really happened. Win Saturday and all forgiven! (still won;t be easy)

Yup. That could have just as easily have been Robins in charge tonight.

Missed chances, poor defending.

It wasn't all bad tonight, lots of good points. WBA looked nothing special. They got lucky with the first goal massive deflection.

Rubbish. He hasn't scouted these players , Dean Austin has who was Robins choice .
But he reckons they're a 'top 6 deck'. I don't see anything to suggest they are.

At some point he needs to acknowledge that but he's been very complimentary of Austin.

As long as we stay up, genuinely fear for that currently

This team isn’t good enough and our recruitment is absolutely woeful

Had chance to cash in pretty big money on him.

I can't see anyone paying anything major anymore. Plenty of injuries and now well put of form.

I feel for him, the idiots around him provide zero movement.
Talking of sheaf and zero movement, any one else watching on sky see the close up of bidwell repeatedly shouting MOVE at him when trying to take a throw in. Looked absolutely exasperated

So frustrating we are being beaten by these average teams by stupid moments, I wouid say only Leeds have really looked a class apart this season. I’ll be putting money on whoever goes up this coming straight back down next

not a bad performance but no real creativity, cutting edge or ability to finish chances

There are quite a few of our players who we know are excellent but have been a shadow of themselves since AV left, Thomas, Sheaf, MVE, Simms, even Eccles was improving but appears to be going backwards again, and in fact Wright has been about the only one who’s looked anywhere near last season

have they been that affected by AV going and what happened behind the scenes, and was MR treating them with kid gloves as a result?

these are good players, they don’t just turn shit overnight, there needs to be a way to get them back playing again like we know they can?!

Usually, I am very positive, but tonight I thought we just started to look increasingly inept as the game wore on.

Found it quite depressing to be honest and the same things were happening all over again.

I can accept losing. But losing to opposition who’ve done absolutely fuck all to earn it, I struggle with.

Bassette is just the new Tavares. I’m just not seeing what you lot are.

You need to play to Bassettes strengths! Not hoofing it down the line in hope the defender fucks up the clearance or miss kicks it!

Don’t like losing but you can sort of accept it if the opposition has outclassed you, tonight we turned up to help West Brom win.

That goal by grant did it for me! WTF! Not a bit of aggression from Lati whatsoever. Ridiculous!!!

it's really not
It really is, happy with our recruitment strategy and execution the last 3 windows? I’d say it’s been pretty poor

Id say Thomas Sakamoto wright and Milan until recently fair enough been good

that’s 4

Simms was good last year but we don’t play to his strengths
