Can't see why Leeds would let kasper go without a decent replacement lined up!!! If it's not Westwood? I hope it's not Murphy!!!!

I can't see why he would go to Leeds. Admittedly they have a larger fan base and are a difficult team to play, but wern't they league 1 not long ago?

Leeds are one of the biggest clubs in this country, bigger than Sunderland. Ridsdale put them where they are now, but they will be back one day. I hate them, but admire them at the same time. It would depend on wages, but I'd probably rather play at Leeds than Sunderland if money was the same.

Westwood has signed a 4 year pre contract with sunderland and Leeds want Jason brown of blackburn. This is according to FOURTH_OFFICIAL on twitter

Yet again, Sven tries to sign a player who's played for him before. He really is lazy when it comes to scouting.

Impossible Sunderland have a verbal agreement. :p
and we all know how solid and lasting verbal agreements are don't we, but I'd be more than surprised if he chose to stay in the championship rather the the premiership.

But Sunderland have Simon Mignolet, who could keep Westwood out of the first team if he has a shakey first few games, at Leeds he would be guaranteed first team football at a massive club, only reason that he'd choose Championship over Premier League

It'll come down to money, not whether he'll be playing or not. He's paid his dues, now he'll want to get paid. Good luck to him, wherever he ends up.

well if he wanted first team football in the championship he could have stayed here without the hassle of moving his family etc Get real its about MONEY

Tbf though, he knows quality when he sees it, and Schmiechal has alot of potential. He'd be better off staying with Leeds tho imo as Leicester will end up buying shit along with the good, where as Leeds have quite a good structure already in place and dont need to replace more or less every position! Stability will get you further in this league than money imo (we've just never got stability or money hence we'll never get anywhere.)

There isn't alot between the likes of Westy and Schmiechal and someone like Joe Murphy. If we did have any money then i would rather it spent elsewhere then wasting it where we can get a fairly decent keeper for free.

I am putting out this statement now, but let me be clear that I have not signed with any other club, and as far as I am concerned I am still a Leeds United player.

Statement.

At the end of the season Leeds United and I both made a commitment to honour the last year of my contract and try to win promotion with Leeds United.

Therefore it is with great disappointment that I have learned that Leeds United have accepted an offer from Leicester.

I want to put on record that I have never asked to leave the Leeds United, nor did I reject an offer for a new contract, since one was never put to me.

I was enjoying being a Leeds United player and was looking forward to winning promotion this season with the club.

I have spoken to the manager Simon Grayson and he has made it clear to me, that, in spite of having played well for him, this is something he believes is a good deal for Leeds United.

I have been put in a very difficult situation and will spend some time considering my options for my future.

Poor old Kasper. He's actually a nice kid, I fixed his computer once. (Though his dad tried to convince me I should do it for free, because he was the greatest keeper ever. I told him to jog on).

Leeds fans I know want Bates out for this. In fact, they just want Bates out full stop, but this is adding fuel to the fire.
