Fans thinking they can sit where they want at matches regardless of the seat they have bought.

If there is somewhere at a home match you want to sit buy a season ticket there, if it’s an away Match buy the seat that you want.

You don’t get on a plane and sit where you fancy or go to a gig and sit / stand where you think you’ll get the best view …

Why do it at a football match then be offended when someone’s ask you to move out their seat ????

I agree. My nephew did it last night so his friends could sit with them. They don't see it as rude they see it as seeing if they get lucky.

Tried to explain to him some might find it intimidating to say your in my seat etc. but he's 18 and don't care quite frankly.

Found it funny last season when a couple told me I was in wrong seat even though it was my season ticket. Eventually they realised they had wrong block

I don’t really have an issue with a kid trying it on but once the seat holder has made it clear they want the seat they have bought then that should be it.

Some berk in the second half last night decided he’d stand on the stairs in B16. Never seen him up there before. Kept getting proper close to me, I’ve got the aisle seat, gave him a glare and he just moved up a few steps. What’s the point? Go to a fucking seat.

Not difficult when you go with 1 or 2 people.

Basically impossible if you’re with a bigger group that varies match to match (also if you don’t want the faff of having one person buy all the tickets)

Home games of course you should be in the correct seat.

Away games is a free for all.

The stewards stopped us going to our block saturday, obviously because it was full, we had to just find any empty seats, it impacted my day not one jot.

My day - and those of lots of others is ruined by cunts standing where your seat is and refuse to move or even worse just stand in front of you. And I know no one sits, I meant seat.

If you think it’s acceptable to stand in front of someone or to just stand where you want thus displacing the person who should be sitting/standing there, then you don’t need therapy, you’re just a c**t.

Happened at Watford to a lady and her young son. Two very tall blokes just stood in front of them so they couldn’t see. She had the balls to tell them to “fuck off” and luckily they did. Many don’t feel they can. I’ve been threatened myself for asking someone to not stand in front of me.

Yep. Seen it myself a few times at away matches. Mentioned in the Watford thread. You buy a ticket, you stand or sit in the allocated seat.

And why was your block full? Because people were just standing where they wanted. It has a knock-on effect.

I personally think away matches should be a free for all so elderly people who dont want to stand and families with smaller children can chose to sit at the front rather than stand all match.

When i take my kid to away games, nearly always end up kicking someone out of our seats. He needs a seat to stand on so he can see. We can't just pile in wherever.

Most of the time they move, you get the odd twat though.

What if you are old? Or infirm? Can't stand for any long periods because of bad legs etc.

Surely if you have a seat that is allocated to you and you wish to sit in that seat, you should be able to sit in that seat and not have your view blocked.

So glad I stopped going to away matches a few years ago, if that's what it's like now.

For the record , the idea that an away game is a free for all isn't true .

I've been to over 300 away games with city and generally since we've been selling out I always head to my seat , we usually have a party of 3 or 4 .

I've never had an issue with people in regards to my seat , partly because I've got a head like an XL bully
But also I'm never in anybody else's seat to have them approach me

FFS. Are you for real? “If you’re short…”. Why should short people be shoved at the front? Where does it end? Who else do you think we should put down the front?

Being “flexible on seating” is not part of the away day experience. It really is very simple. There is a seat for everyone, the number and row is on their ticket. If you can’t with sitting/standing in your allocated seat then don’t go.
