Tbh, heads should of rolled for completely pissing so much of the Gyokeres and Hamer up the wall on poor quality players.

Honestly, spending £10+ million on Kitchen, EMC and Torp is criminal, and it didn't stop there.

Paying a shit defender like Binks £30k a week is just embarrassing.

Ultimately someone had to pay the price,
and hopefully others will go too.
Binks is not on 30k, bollocks.

Chicken Littles on here forget how tight the Championship is. A run of four wins and you’re top eight. A run of four losses and you’re bottom six.
Hull just lost 4 games in a row and dropped into the bottom 3

We have looked terrible far more often than those two games and more than one manager has said our players are picking and choosing their performance.

You yourself said of them, and I quote, ‘spineless fucking pussies’. Yet you think talk of a relegation battle is out of the question. Pick a side

They are spineless fucking pussies. I don’t think they’ve got it in them to have a run of form. Two good one bad seems to be the best they can manage.

Doesn’t change the facts though that if they did hit form they’ve got as good as chance as anyone of play offs.

We’re nowhere near bad enough to get relegated. We’ve been shit by our standards and only properly outplayed twice.

It is a shit model. Each season is different and plays out differently. At the end of the day it’s where you are at the end. You’re completely ignoring my point about how averages are made up and treating them like teams must get exactly 2PPG every game or they’re off target.

We are in a very tight streaky league. It’s form that matters.
Your logic on this is nonsensical.

It's a fact that to get in the playoffs you need 70+ points in the large majority of cases, average being around 74. When you do the maths on our current points tally it shows how hard that will be to achieve. I've no idea why you handwave this point away with statements like "It's form that matters".

In that case basically every team in the league should be aiming for the top 6. Fact is it’s nearly December and despite sitting just above the bottom 3 people don’t see the danger.

Lampard himself said there’s a reason why we are where we are and he needs to work out what it is.
No I agree there is a danger, and I said it is unlikely we will get the play offs

My point is we shouldn't forget about the top 6 when we have 87 points to play for, even if it is a hugely difficult task

I was really worried last night when they seemed to abandon the playoff expectation. Fwank is only looking at the next game and Doug didn't seem to want to continue pushing the 3 playoffs in 5 years story.

No I'm not, I'm saying it's the end point that matters, and that is nearly always around 74 points. How you get there doesn't matter, but that's the target if you want to guarantee a play off place.

I don't know what the players are on...

OK. You posted that stuff off the back of someone claiming Binks was on £30k a week. Assumed you were sharing stuff to back up that figure as realistic. I've probably had too much coffee and I'll go away now.

Considering we're probably going to miss the playoffs for a 2nd year in a row the 3 in 5 target would leave no room for error now.

The 3 times thing doesn’t mean a lot because it’s essentially just about getting promoted within that timeframe.

It's just a realistic outlook of this season though. It would be unfair to place a play-off expectation on FL at this point, for this season. I'd imagine the expectation from DK and fans will be there again next summer though.

You reckon we spend c. 10% of that amount on Luis Binks' wages? That sounds like Tin Hat levels of critical thinking to me.

The figures are nonsense and only add up to half the total club wages.

Tavares on more than Kitching and MVE - of course he is

Took over Palace when they were struggling and got them up via the playoffs same season
I remember Palace coming here and beating us 4-1 and it was one of the best displays I have ever seen from an away side against us

They absolutely cut us to threads with a one touch, fast paced passing game

Don't worry mate, I've already screwed up this morning by failing to add 3 numbers together to make 10 in a different post & got ridiculed for that.

Playoffs wow
I suppose there’s a chance but our defence just isn’t good enough unless Bobby and Kitch can get back to that purple patch and stop making mistakes

Think the year they went up they played us final game, which was Reids first game I charge and we won 2-1 but results went their way and they finished 6th and won the play offs but my memory often let's me down.

That’s what did for Robins I reckon
To think given what we’ve seen with our own eyes that anyone can come in and get us in the playoffs is off the scale dreaming

I'm not one for saying where we will finish, all I ask is that we turn around the poor play, the silly errors and the amount of missed chances.
I just want to see exciting football, where I can walk back to the pub happy and wanting to discuss the past two hours. If that then means we start putting a run together and move up the table then so be it, but the rest of the season for me is about performance

And I’m saying how you get to those points varies. We could win five in a row, we’ve done it before. It would blow all your models up, who gets 3PPG over a season??

If all that mattered was PPG you could just end the season after ten games as a representative sample. Teams will have 15 poor games, 5 ridiculously good games, 10 decent games, etc.

Who would have guessed about us going unbeaten in the L1 or PO seasons? Once a team hits winning form sometimes it just sweeps them along. Same with losing form. Very few teams are consistent across a season. Some above you will drop, some will go on runs that push them from relegation to top six, it happens every season.

And if they are the pussies you say they are, which is more likely? A surge to the playoffs or a scrap to stay up?

They aren’t going to be in a scrap to stay up. The hope is Super Frankie Lampard will make them actually pull their finger out and stop stropping about being championship level footballers.

or just don't believe everything you read on the internet, save some time.
I don't believe everything I read, (and the quoted link may be inaccurate) but at least I've posted a link to something to base my statement on, rather than just saying it's bollocks with absolutely nothing to base it on whatsoever.

To say don't believe everything you read on the net, as if by some miracle, you, some no mark on a footy forum is all of a sudden the Oracle when it comes to players contracts us laughable.
Honestly you've drifted into Grendel and sbcam levels of ridiculousness.

Anyone with any kind of understanding of the clubs finances would realise we wouldn't have made Binks, who was hardly a nailed on starter last season, our highest earner this summer.

Why do you believe this site, then? In your words, it looks a bit 'no mark'.

Like someone else has pointed out, it claims Tavares earns more than MVE.

Let's put it this way,
1. The club spent £18.5m on wages, salaries & pensions in the year ending 31st May 2023.
2. A first team squad of 25 players on an average of £750k p.a. (15k/week)would eat up all of that.
3. There are another 145 employees, ranging from part time match stewards, shop employees, office support, management, analysis, chefs, coaches and probably some other categories I should have mentioned. It's hard to say what that accounts for but the managers and coaches will be on significant salaries, the rest not so much.
4. There will be big differences in player salaries and it is the goal scorers who get paid the most.
5. Whatever is in the papers is probably influenced by bullshit coming from players agents.
6. Finally I don't know any details and only people involved in contract negotiations will.

It is ridiculous because the total wage bill added up is less than 50% of the clubs actual bill. It’s made up drivel and you’ve swallowed it hookline and sinker
