What can we do? (1 Viewer)

we all love city but everythin is out of our hands. Should thorn stay??? As much as i admire him as a manager MAYBE he is out of his depth. BUT there aint many managers we can afford. Thats problem at moment thorn is our manager, physio scout and coach all in one job club saves money that way.

We can afford Carsley though so what you are saying is not entirely right is it.

Carsley has never been a manager before. Therefore what you are saying is not exactly right, is it?

Should we get rid of a manager that is gaining experience and replace him with someone without any experience?

Sorry, totally disagree, Astute and have to say what you are saying in response is totally irrelevant to my point.

The lad said "BUT there ain't many managers we can afford" and you 'corrected' it and said "BUT there aint ANY managers we can afford." And I said we can afford Carsley. You have then come back on an entirely different point.

The fact is what you said was wrong and the rest is just coming back at me with an entirely different question. We can afford Carsley as we brought him in and are paying him anyway so you were wrong to correct the lad's post.

Why just respond by asking completely different questions? Whether or not Carsley is any good or not has nothing to do with saying we can't afford anyone.

Might as well bring Carsely up in a Sillett and Curtis type approach - neither of whom had managerial experience.

City till I die

Carsley is not a manager though as he has never been one before

Errrr.... neither was Andy Thorn.

The point was he was saying we couldn't afford anyone. We couldn't afford anyone before, so we promoted Thorn. We can't afford anyone now so can promote Carsley. Think you are just being too literal and you know you are. ;)

Couldn't afford many managers, not couldn't afford anyone if you look again. I also said what is the use of getting rid of a manager that has been getting some experience to replace him with someone without any experience.

If AT had to go then I would have nothing against Carsley having a go, but think it would be better to keep AT for now. My preference would be Lawrie Sanchez though. He is with Barnet now. He has experience at top level, including international level. Was also one of the Wimbledon crazy gang. He would be cheap these days other than a bit of compo. Just the sort of manager we need.

Said before, I would promote Carsley. Get him working alongside Thorn. The bloke needs all the help he can get.

We don't have time for another inexperienced manager to take over though.

Goodnight Otis, going to bed now. Have a think about who could help us. Experience is the key.

Well agree, just think that as we have no money it would have to be Carsley.

Only other thing I think they could do is to bring the likes of Bobby Gould and John Sillett to come in help out in whatever way they can.
