You know something we don't... I've not heard he is unprofessional & a bad eater.Only thing Hilssner is threatening is the kitchen and the transfer window.
Hilsner has had a serious lung condition ffs! and DaCosta a serious ankle injury. Was getting match fit a race, winner takes all ? I don’t know how good, bad or indifferent either are, nor do you but the very least both should be given time to show what they offer. Just saying let’s bin off Hilsner is codswallop to be honest. Like I have said proper supporters would give both reasonable time to see what they offer.

You can have a youthful team that’s also experienced, it’s not necessarily one or the other. Look at these 6 we’ve got in our squad
Luke Thomas 21 years old, played 126 first team games
Conor Chaplin 23 years of age, played 223 games
Callum Styles 20 years old, played 93 games
Callum Brittain 22 years old, played 137 games
Patrick Schmidt 22 years old, played 142 games
Bradley Collins (GK) 23 played 108 games.
That’s 6 players with the average age of 22 and they’ve played 829 games between them, at first team level. I’d say they’re pretty experienced. Most of our players have both youth and experience.
Difference is those players have all had a season in this league. Aside from McF, none of our squad had that and it kind of shows. It helps if not everyone is trying to adapt to the level at once.

I saw enough of Hilsner in the friendlies to see he is nowhere near mobile enough for this league, lung condition or not. Robins doesn't get ever transfer right, but it seems obvious that Hilsner is this years kastaneer. Let not forget he came from German 3rd division, he was a gamble. I will be ecstatic if he proves me wrong.
Funny really under new rule neither Hilsner nor Da Costa would have enough points to be given a work permit.

100%, I read an article that there is an appeals panel, which im sure will favour big clubs who want to bring in European youth players for their academy, over a championship/league one or two club trying to get a rough diamond out of the second/third divisions in France, Germany, etc.The new rules make it much harder for clubs like us to pick players up on the cheap while not really affecting the bigger clubs whose targets will meet the criteria.
I would suggest playing with a possibly undiagnosed asthma condition might have had an effect on his fitness and performance. We’ll see in time.'Proper supporters'

The number of career championship appearances prior to this seasonForgot him. Still not many is it

I don’t think it will make much difference and we shouldn’t be signing players like Hillsner anyway
Of course you don’t for political reasons
I agree with you, but now he is fit let’s see what if anything he offersI don’t think it will make much difference and we shouldn’t be signing players like Hillsner anyway
Hamer most likely would have, he was playing in the top Dutch division and had been an u20 Dutch player, so would have probably scraped enough points to meet the immigration rules.Neither would Hamer... What's your point?

As Badlan said in his piece in the summer, we have tried to get scouting expertise in a small range of foreign leagues to try and pick players up who are less well known but with the stats we want. It is more likely than not that such players just aren’t going to meet the criteria and so clubs will have to look in Britain from a much reduced pool of players
Surely if clubs are unable to sign cheaper options from abroad that is likely to put a further premium on UK players. It'll just inflate the market further

It’s nothing to do with politics is it?
Precisely
Brexit has made this happen and it will have a big impact on us because of the model we have tried to put in place. You’re just working back from your conclusion
I changed UK to English as even if there was no pool to fish from the Irish and Welsh leagues won't have a premium attached to them.
I thought as much. I can only see this making the gulf between leagues even larger.

The FA have decided these rules haven’t they? In other industries all these would get work permits.
Callum Britain is having his first season at championship level and he’s one of our better players. one of the main reasons I spend so much time on other teams forums, is because ours is full of cünts and bellends, all the cünts and bellends were saying exactly the same as you lot last season, we need experienced championship players blah blah blah. It took us 6 months then we had a squad full of them. This time next year you’ll have squad with 18 months of championship football under your belt, and you won’t have had to break the bank, or make wholesale changes, just have some patience and give it some time.Difference is those players have all had a season in this league. Aside from McF, none of our squad had that and it kind of shows. It helps if not everyone is trying to adapt to the level at once.

Scotland will have some but not much. They really need to look at these proposals again while they have the opportunity.
Not according to these guys who actually provide European scouting & recruitment advice to EFL clubs.
Look at how it’s gone with who tends to sign non-EU players up to this point. Big clubs who have links with EU feeder clubs could just farm them out until they get a work permit. It has just made recruitment harder for clubs like ourselves while I suspect the bigger ones will be unaffected for the most part
