Bigi has been clever and signed a one year deal so this bunch of shits won't be able to sell him as he will run his contract down, Sordell is the same.

They will try to sell Stevenson but everybody knows that the club are desperate so will bid low with future payments, maybe somebody out there would like to buy a chairman who works for free (bit shit but a good runner)

The only players who would command a fee or are good enough to play at a higher standard (either when on form or when potential is reached are):

Stokes (but won't go due to injury)
Willis (but is probably too inconsistent for someone to take a decebt gamble on)
Bigi (when on form is better than L1 and he's still young)
Stevenson (miles ahead of Maddison, can definitely see offers made but SISU will hold out)
Sordell (it's clear he's getting his sharpness back, and it's clear there's a player there somewhere, so if he starts scoring he's gone. January is probably too soon for anyone monitoring his progress)
RCC (prone to errors, but even Burge fans must see he has bags of potential)

So I don't think anyone will go in January as SISU will hold out for more cash for those with potential, or teams won't be willing to gamble on some....yet.

Hoping the players TF said will be leaving are the loans and some releases.
I think players definitely WILL go in January.

Hopefully Primark will have a sale featuring some of their young staff.

Who and why?

Yes SISU will want to sell but I can only see Stevenson generating any real cash so they will wait until summer when his value has increases.
Because the new manager will want to bring players in. Fine if it's just loans, but if he wants to sign players I reckon we will have to sell first.

I may have dreamt (hoped), but didn't TF, or maybe MV in the past, say there's some budget left over from the summer? Also if he releases or loans out players, that may also free up wages?

But my initial post was based on logic, which is a pointless strategy to apply when attempting to predict our owners motives or actions, so we will probably sell them all!

Stevenson will be gone I think, clearly our best player and a real prospect. based on what fisher said though, we should get all that money to spend on new players ( yeah right!! ) ... as he said the reason we didn't get the madison money was because we were making a 1.7 million loss last season & that had to be covered from the Maddison sale ... although he also said we were making around a million in profit this year!

That said, as all of the above came out of fishers gob, it's about as fictional as a Harry Potter novel I'm sure!!

My guess would be rose sold for maybe 100k and Willis or Stevenson sold for closer to 1 million

January. We get a number of players in on loan including some loans renewed. Nearly all have little experience, it's cheaper that way. The squad needs 5 or 6 games to bed in and lacks confidence........ by which time shit its March..... panic.

Might as well face it anyone apart for Stevenson who the owners get an offer for will be out the door. I would of thought Rose, Sordell and maybe Jones would be likely leavers. Stevenson is a player they will want a set amount already and if that not reached will hang on until the summer.

Funny how Stevenson isn't player apparently injured, Stokes the same was supposedly " on the grass" getting ready for return a month ago bit of a trend this going back to Ben Turner, Callum Wilson and last year James Maddison all side lined and then sold.

Ideally we want callum Wilson sold for big bucks as early as poss in January. That, theoretically, should give any new manager some decent money to play with.

I think it depends on who the new manager is. TM pulled strings and got players in last season. If it is a seasoned old head, maybe we'll get a couple of decent bruisers in to help the boys. If it's a spring chicken (I'm looking at you, Gary Caldwell) then I'd guess he doesn't have as many hats to pull rabbits from and we'll end up with misfits and has-beens.

It's going to be Caldwell isn't it. Just so TF can say "Look, boys, we got last season's L1 manager of the year in, aren't I great." If it is, he may as well get his kit back on.

That was the TM model. Hopefully the new man will be a little more sensible.
Was it TM model though?
If you read Richards Shaw's account on how it worked in his time here, it would be the Sisu model.
So did TM really have the final say in what went on with outgoing players last season?
Will the next manager be strong enough to fight to keep any player he actually wanted to keep, If rumours are correct I doubt that very much.

Theoretically yes, but in practice no, it will go into the Sisu coffers never to be seen again

so who is going
McCann / aygei/ wright/page end of loan
a couple of sales - my guess is willis and Stevenson

we are already short of numbers - so we would need to get at least 6 first team players in to replace them (buy or loans)
Nobody will want to give away their players to us, if they are any good as they will need them, and we certainly wont be able to pay much money
Also we are no longer an attractive club for loans

As such as long as these Mike hunts are still here - there is only 1 answer

Agree with your post but with Sterry also going, and no more than 2 players coming in on loan. Fisher has already said, no support from fans means cuts in playing staff.

I think it's too early to cash in on Stevenson, give another year and his stock will double but we all know they will sell on the cheap. Personally wouldn't care about any others

Tis too early, but it doesn't matter what we think, or if he is ready or not.

If he has value it will be highly likely he will be sold.

Another possibility is
Chris Stokes.... Andy Rose....

Both out of contract end of the season.
Would you try and cash in while they can offer something in value to rebuild the team in the longer term or keep them as they are here, experienced and vital to this current campaign and hope they resign.

Good call. Forgot about Stokes. Don't think he'll pull on a City shirt again.

I can't see anyone going in January apart from the loans. I think Willis and Stevenson will stay. We need more bodies in rather than getting rid of more. I would get rid of all the loans and raid Non League teams. Other clubs do it successfully. Depending on the new manager, he will have contacts too and ideas of who he wants and needs.
At least lower league players should in theory want to better themselves and be hungry for it
