It was over sold and dangerous . I was in the left hand corner looking at the pitch and it was rammed. Missed the first ten minuites trying to get in.
That's where we were after we moved from the central pens. In our area plenty of room

I have only left a game early twice and missed a goal both times. The first was against Middlesboro in 76/77 when the lads I went with got fed up of their negative offside tactics and convinced me to leave with about 10 minutes to go and Alan Green equalised with a couple of minutes to go. The second was at Preston in 2013/14 and I was so fed up of Preston's anti-football when they were kicking the ball away, stopping us taking free-kicks and surrounding the ref at every decision for us. The final straw was when we were awarded a free-kick and the referee warned us not to take it too quick and Kevin Davies walked between Moussa & Baker and kicked the ball across the pitch, I was fuming and stormed out and even exchanged a few angry words with a Preston fan and on our way back to the car I heard a cheer and thought it was the full-time whistle until I heard the classified results. Moussa had equalised with a worldie in the 6th minute of injury time!!

Was away for Freddy Eastwood's hat-trick in whichever game that was, and also missed the goal David Bell scored from miles out. Not the most amazing instances, but it's been slim pickings the last 15 years.

I hate being late in or leaving early, never go off before half time and extremely rare to be back after the restart simply because you may miss the most significant point or only goal of the game. saying that i missed Jones third against Exeter because i left 2 mins early, never happen again.

I missed a David Busst header at West Ham while having a Johnny Cash, early 90’s and we won 1-0.

Where's that lad who went on the phone in a couple of years ago moaning about the score, then he was told we'd scored in the last minute but he'd missed it because he left early.

Out of all the landmark games / moments I have missed the 3-2 v Man Utd (Huckerby) game stands out the most.

I missed that one too. For some reason I just couldn't be arsed to go (despite having a season ticket). I think it was because I used to get cheesed off with all the plastic mancs (many, I suspect, from Coventry) that always seemed to be sat in our end cheering their goals.

Probably a bad choice, in retrospect. :)

Coventry 5 Norwich 4 ,
I left before the 5th goal, and missed Jim Blyth's last minute penalty save.

I didn’t but a lot round me missed Thomas’ goal at Wembley.
:/
I might have been one of those. Was finishing a pint in the bar

I missed that do for other reasons. The same reason I missed the Sutton United second goal.
Missed Keith Houchen goal at Old Trafford because of being locked out by unhelpful ground staff.

Agreed, I was also in that left hand corner and after Houchen made it 2-1 I was carried by the crowd, with my feet not touching the floor until after the final whistle.
Yes discussed this at quarter and semi final how unsafe Leppings Lane was. Deliberately went high up in left side corner to avoid overfull end at QF.

I missed

i was in the West Ham end for that.they moved us into the city end for our own safety after we celebrated the goal.
Wasn't that the year that they were redeveloping Upton Park? A new stand was being built at 1 and maybe both ends and we were housed in the top level of a stand and the segregation between us and the West Ham fans was a couple of empty and maybe some netting. I was sitting very close to the Wet Ham fans and near the end we starting singing at the Wet Ham fans "You're shit & you know you are" and a couple of fans near me changed it to "We're dead but we're staying up" to laughter from fans on both sides. I had caught the tube from my friend's house in Leyton and the tube ride home was a bit hairy with some very angry West Ham fans

Yes. Had to go in their end as they didn’t let us have many tickets.

Yup, that was the big one I missed too as my bladder got the better of me !
I also missed a Wallace goal years ago when my Grandad dragged me out early to miss the traffic, I think it was his hatrick and City's 4th in a 4-0 demolition of Southampton !
I missed that game for a wedding (mine) She's long gone and in hindsight I should have gone to the game.
