God, you two are old
Well put as this is the lowest I've felt in all the years I've been a City fan.You see clubs moving forwards and prosper whilst we go backwards.
Swansea were on the verge of extinction but look where they are now,and even Southampton and Leicester have been down but are clubs on the up. But we carry on supporting the club but it does half piss you off !
When Cloughie was manager of Forest he wanted Trevor Francis but we wanted him too,and matched their bid as we had the money. He became the first million pound player !Remember whe Brian Clough was going to come here because he said we were the biggest club in the Midlands now look at us:facepalm:
I know but weve had fun the greatest period of our history feel sorry for you youngsters and the kids
My first sky blue memory was the cup win, I was 7, so I'm quite lucky. I get what you're saying though, I live away from Coventry now, but I'm trying to persuade my boy to be a skyblue. It's difficult though when the premier league is rammed down his throat all the time. All his mate's are united or arsenal fans etc. When he wears his city shirt out, his mate's ask him what team it is. Tbf he does proudly state, "it's Coventry city". He went to a few games at the Ricoh, but I won't take him away, and I can't bring myself to go to sixfields.
Real shame.
I understand the dilemma for you and your lad. Kids now want to wear shirts of Premier clubs, but to be honest it's nearly always been like that.My two sons hardly bother anymore in fact so have a couple of my mates too, they think I'm in need of treatment for still going albeit just away games. you can't win !My first sky blue memory was the cup win, I was 7, so I'm quite lucky. Then again the lunatics have taken over the asylum,so I'll fit in nicely !You are in need of treatment
My lad is not overly sports mad but is aware of City (diffucult for him not to be!). He saw Moussa's goal on the FL show on Sunday morning and now wants the yellow away shirt. More than happy to oblige - proud moment for me
Thats the problem if and when we come back there will be hardly any kids and they'll be lost forever
You're absolutely right, it could be a major problem in future years.
Thats why we need to get back to the Ricoh as soon as possible and fill it with kids for aquid etc
Why they can go for free at the moment I believe it's dads for a quid at sixfields....
And if you ask nicely you can get in for free..... remember the Hill last week.
Yes but if you remember you have to buy a programme
