Boris truly is the Diane Abbott of the Conservatives Party. And they’re going to make him PM.
Andrew Neil should be allowed to interview every politician. He's showing Boris up in having zero policies, and that he's a blustering oaf - not that it matters in this election, seemingly! Not convinced Hunt has many more(!) but he held himself together rather better.
Ok I’ve caught up with the debates (or whatever these ones were called) this morning. Andrew Neil tore Boris to pieces. Jeremy Hunt actually came out of it looking ok. Boris will still win....somehow.

It does seem a bit "a moving target is harder to hit" - keep the cycle going so no-one can focus on any one thing. Trouble is he seems to have got mired in this domestic argument a bit. He needs a new distraction.
He did reverse the trend last time and improved their position, and elections are often a long game (the last Blair/Brown givernment was basically there because of their successes in the past) so there's certainly an argument to be made that the next election is the push through, and he is a good campaigner.The labour membership seriously needs to consider getting corbyn out if they ever want the tories out of office.

Both Johnson and Corbyn are, in fact, bafflingly successful when it comes to elections!
What the opposition shouldn't do is make the mistake the Democrats made of making the campaign against Trump one against his personality. He brushed that off and is seemingly teflon, much like Johnson!
I agree - campaign on a manifesto and you will beat the Tories all day long because their only manifesto pledge is ‘it’s not Corbyn’ - they are bankrupt of ideas and their only motivations are self-interest... the epitome of Johnson.
Is it really that baffling? I don’t think so when you find your way through the bullshit rhetoric.
So why wasn’t he crushed in 2017? Why is a man so inept/competent/useless a target of SO many stories, conspiracies and in some cases downright lies to discredit him?

What’s the point of power if you are just going to recycle the shit policies of the Tories?
Or is power about getting to decide how many people get to die because of your choices - whether that’s because of welfare and austerity, or because you fancy starting an unnecessary war.
