Thread title speaks for itself, what position should he be trying to lock down? Kinda of a jack of all trades master of none right now.

I see him as a left sided mid. Needs work but is a better player than Shipley and as Athletic is not more. The only reason i say Shipley is because he will be used in the same way if kept. Utility player that has high energy and gives balance on the left.

If he is not loaned out he will be in game day squads this season in my opinion.

On the bench

Have you seen much of him? You seem to be right on the case of any youngster coming through the academy, the negativity (although unsurprising) is a bit odd

To be fair, on the bench would be pretty good at this stage of his development. Is there anyone in the first team you'd play him ahead of?

Not at all, but the OP was asking what position he should play in should he make an 11 at some point. Saying 'on the bench' isn't exactly useful and just pretty petty. We all know he isn't going to be first choice this coming season.

It was clearly a very serious post - or bench

For what its worth.....
I think he's a wing back either side. He's left handed but prefers to strike a ball with his right but naturally two footed. He plays golf right handed.. 🤷‍♂️
Personally I think right now RWB but think as he develops he will move to the left as he can cut inside to shoot.
He can play anywhere across the middle, but Cov spent two years in the 23s turning him into a RWB.
Last year at Ross County they play with full backs which didn't help and he played mainly LB but up as far as a 10.
His last two u21 games for Scotland were as a LWB and his first 2 were as a RB. I really don't see the confusion :)

Could be a real chance to make the U23 LWB slot his with Reid seemingly being used in the middle more.

The lad seems to have what it takes
I'd love to see him do well this season
I suspect he'll get the chance to do so

I think we'll see a little of Dinanga this year too. But whatever happened to Bapaga? He looked lively and dangerous 2 years back, but doesn't seem to get a look in any more. Shame. He obviously wasn't ready for the step up to the championship, but I'd love him to get a run in the odd cup game this year to see whether he can stake a claim later on in the season.

Lots of chances for the young academy u21s ,howley,Borroughs and the like as season split into 2short seasons and first teamers won't be playing every game, think we will see plenty of youngsters if there in good form at there playing level.

What about the Cricket Test, though? No, not the Tory one from the 80's (or "now" in Scotland), but rather: is he one of those weirdos who bats with one hand but bowls with the other??!
