I think Robins needs to get the players in for training and go back to basics.

The gameplan of hoof it without looking and hoping that either Biamou wins it or a defender makes a mistake and McNulty can finish it clearly isn't working.

If McNulty is ill then I'd personally look to see what the strengths and weaknesses of all of the "fit" players are. If it ends up with JCH and Biamou up front then we need to have a look and see what will create chances for them.

So far JCH has had absolutely nothing in either game when he has come on and it's been pointless him even getting dirty, there's no point in bringing any striker in if we aren't going to give them any service at all.

The only realistic method I can see is to get it out to the wide areas and whip it in and have Biamou / JCH attacking crosses with a midfielder making a run into the box also to try and pick up any second ball. Reid is going to have to start on the Left but no idea who he can put on the right unless Barrett has been in intensive training.

We need to start creating chances and work as more of a unit.

We also need to stop leaking goals so easily....we have built this season on a solid defence and clean sheets....that has disappeared but the personnel has, on the whole, been the same.

We did pretty much only start hoofing it long from the keeper yesterday after half time. It did at least push the Stanley defence back, but it didn't really work at all did it.

Biamou and McNulty play too far apart for McNulty to benefit from any knock downs.

Didn't think I would say this but I agree Reid should play, his far better than Tellytubby Barrett & JMD (was this a lost bet bringing him in on loan). But first things first we need to stop shipping goals, don't concede we get a point and at the moment that the best we can hope for.

CM is the biggest concern , Bayliss looked ill yesterday, we he recover in time? Kelly, OMG, our only hope is that he kicks the ball so high in the air we waste most of the match waiting for in to come back to earth, but who have we got to fit in the middle?????

I will be there, I heard we have only sold 300ish tickets, poor showing but do the team deserve anymore support at the moment? See you Tuesday

If we’re going to keep holding it aimlessly to Biamou then we should just give up on the idea of a midfield and go with 6 and the back and 4 upfront. The problem is in the middle and Robins has to prove he’s worth his wages now.

Plus it’s a rubbish trip for a midweek fixture!

I’d rest McNulty, clearly took a risk yesterday but it could have back fired as he was clearly not well and could have brought on an injury as he was still trying to find his usual levels, throw Ponticelli is alongside Biamou; he needs a full game not bits here and there, I’d even try Shipley and Bayliss in the middle together as Kelly was useless yesterday and might as well have not been on the pitch. Sounds like Doyle has niggled something and will be missing a few, but need to have him teaching one or two of the others how to command on the pitch.
Reid has earner a start for me, we just need someone who’s willing to get involved in the box and get on the end of his crosses. RM is a tough call; none of the players who’ve played there of late have been much cop. I’d normally consider changing the system but I’ve seen our ‘plan B’s’ and they usually go against us!

Robins post match confirmed he was one of the victims to the illness in camp. Burge injured, Doyle injured, Bayliss ill, Davies injured, Grimmer injured, might have been another he mentioned had the illness too

I'd tweak the formation slightly and go for a diamond in the middle of the park.

Use Doyle/Kelly as DM. Shipley Bayliss in the middle and Barrett in the CAM. Gives us an option to go for a solid 442 too if we need.

We'd need Haynes at LB for his ability to get up and down the pitch for 90 minutes. Ideally it would be Grimmer at RB, but DKE will have to do.

I'd go for Ponticelli and JCH. Pointless prolonging McNulty's illness, Biamou has done well but could do with a break. They could potentially have 2 weeks break now. Get them back firing in full fitness.

No way can we surprise the opposition by a quick pass from one wing to the other. If MR can’t see this then what are his tactics, I’m struggling to understand what he does in training

We need creativity from somewsome. I thought Reid was dogshit personally yesterday but, he does have it in his locker to beat a man and put a ball into the box/stands. Shipley just doesn't have the pace or inclination to do so. On the other side, we've got to try Barrett or Bayliss and probably drop Shipley in as the anchor man in midfield with Bayliss as the man with licence to drive forward if Barrett is playing on the right.

only flaw in that tactic is Vicenti can'r run and we can't get crosses into the box!

He found himself in the box yesterday and skied at least two efforts. And he was pretty useless out wide. We keep lumping it up towards him and for a really really tall bloke, he's rubbish in the air. And with it at his feet.

I’d agree with this. Think I’d still go for stokes, haynes can’t defend.

1. Stop kicking the ball out of play straight from kick off and I'm not talking about the Kelly one - the amount of times we've started games by launching the ball out of play or straight back to the opposition (And then Robins comes out with sentences like “You need to get it right from minute one”)
2. Get Willis to actually lead the defence and get them 20 yards higher up the pitch so that our DM isn't left with the current 3 choices: a backwards 5 yard pass, or a dodgy 20 yard pass on the floor or a 45 yard hoof towards Biamou.
3. Play a left footed person on the left and a right footed person on the right.
4. Stop making Biamou do defensive work and let him play higher up the pitch closer to McNulty
5. Stop swapping the set piece taker every week. Was Barratt last week, JMD yesterday and then Shipley. Pick someone who plays every week.

Do not play people who are unwell. I don't want to hear after the game that McNulty was 80% or Bayliss 75%. Play a 100% fit Ponticelli, or a 100% fit Maycock - whoever, but we want athletes to put 100% out there and the manager should be making that call. Then it's up to Robbins to get them organised. Players played in correct positions. Centre midfield, hopefully Bayliss will have recovered, and Kelly improved, but I wouldn't be adverse to Shipley moved into the Centre. Reid must start left and 2 fit forwards up front. Let's bloody attack them, 3 points for a win is massive - let's have a go, instead of the pragmatic cautious approach. It's not like we'll be facing a hostile atmosphere on Tuesday - no need to fear anything.

Wasn't overly impressed with Reid's overall input but improved what we were doing. Felt he lacked confidence still. Could of ran at his man more and utilised his ability but applied the brakes and passed. When he did and put in the cross 3/4 we're good so you gotta give him a start given the lack of forward thinking players. I'd bring Haynes in too tok be progressive down the left and Vincenti on the right for the longer ball picking a pass.

DiKE cannot start for me after Saturday therefore Willis has to shift across as do the others with Haynes slotting in. Harsh on Hyam but we need a progressive fullback more. Dropping McNulty out the side completely as the man must be half dead trying to play Saturday after losing so much weight through illness.
