I’m sorry to say that if we lose at Crawley I believe we will go down. Notts County and Crewe have matches against sides with nothing to play for.

If it happens, we will deserve it because we will have lost the last two games of the season in straight fights against our closest relegation rivals. I thought Crewe’s performance today was an excellent demolition job from start to finish, and that’s what we have to do next week to Crawley - or take the consequences.

I’ve felt the optimism on here was misplaced for the last couple of months, but last week’s results really had me believing we would be OK. This week it has turned around again, and after surviving so many nail-biting finishes in the top flight, I never thought we would be going through the same thing again to stay out of Division 4. It’s so hard supporting this club.

I expect Crewe to beat Bradford and Notts Co to get at least a point from Gillingham so yes most certainly we need to get something. What I find inexplicable is the difference between performances last week and today, who knows if none of our games had been at the Ricoh we might be in the top 6...

I think you predicted we would score four today and possibly against Leyton Orient (I am not sure where you thought the goals were coming from). We didn't dhow up today did we? I don't blame Mowbray for that or Pressley, I blame the players. Not for losing, but for not responding to a big crowd and a chance to wrap it up today (that is why they aren't a top 8 squad). unfortunately Mowbray wasn't in charge and if he had been we can only speculate. We are where we are tables don't lie, and the fact is we are in the mix with the relegation teams our season will be distilled into one match.

I think you over value the players who have let us down today and against Orient and on many occasions this season.

admittedly Mowbray has been only able to work with what he had and with his excellent addition of Ward. He was also handicapped by the loss of Samuels ( and let's give credit to the acquisitions of Samuels and Pennington, both after Pressley criticised the non existing scouting system. If it no longer existed when Mowbray arrived it was because it belonged to Pressley not Waggott....hence the Brentford signing, that is the dross Waggott has consistently been bringing in). Pressley failed due to lack of experience and support from the owners and infrastructure. As for Mowbray, have they signed him yet?

Disagree, Crewe came with a game plan and it worked. Grant was superb for them today. And they knew how to exploit our weakness, and delivered fan excellent defensive performance. They were not shite.

The stats say we had 20 shots, but many of them were from way outside the box because we couldn’t penetrate their totally committed defence. And although they didn’t have too many opportunities, they took three of them. They aren’t a classy team and it wasn’t pretty - but it was good enough to easily take all three points off us, and I still say it was an excellent away performance from them in a do-or-die match.

Next week is the ultimate six-pointer, and if we could deliver the goods the way Crewe did today I’d be happy.
