Soooooooo let me get this straight, we have Sixfielders, NOPM'ers, Outsiders, Cov Kid'ers....

Fuck me, can we segregate our fans base anymore, have i missed any factions out???:thinking about:

London supports club, KCIC, International Support club, NOPM, Born in Cov, Junior sky blues, The Sixfield Thousand, Outsiders,

At this rate, every fan will have their own group

I am Coventry born and bred. Allesley in Coventry all my life and that will remain till I die hence why I hate man u fans etc. Glory fans. You can support Coventry if you should be mad enough but it that comes from relocation or anything then im afraid I don't have the same in common.

We are all fans correct but nothing makes me prouder than a Coventry city game and all fans from Coventry and we score a goal against Leicester or villa. Football was originated in cities and towns not through relocation or move jobs. When success and football took off fans went and support "big" teams.

Look back to that video from the 60's with JH and all singing our song. How many of those fans at HR that day on the pitch came from say Manchester. I would guess and not one.

Is this for real ?

Of course its not bollocks.

Im Coventry born and bred, the city and the club go hand in hand.

Do man u fans from bury have the same passion for man u as the mancs that were born and bred in the city.

Of course they fucking don't.

It's you that is talking utter shit.

Oh so my old man born in Newcastle whose been to 100's of Coventry games and is a mad passionate fan doesn't care as much as a dumb ass as you, that cant see beyond some crap little Man Utd example.

And you have the cheek to say I am talking shit, still from a knuckle dragger like you its a compliment.

@ Moff....It's all about "Roots" mate. I don't believe for one second if Coventry played Newcastle that he wouldn't support "The Magpies" I've lived in South Wales for over 30 years, and played for Cardiff Devils and South Wales police teams(Ice Hockey) and would cheer on "The Blaze" rather than a Welsh team....Maybe your Dad is different from me, but have yet to meet a "Geordie" that isn't "Black and White" striped through and through.

No he is Cov through and through. I have been to probably between 10-15 Newcastle games at home where he has gone mental when we scored and won, and was disconsolate when we lost. We have also been up to St james Park together, in the Cov end supporting Cov.

He is Sky Blue through and through, proud of his roots as am I, but Coventry is our club.

Maybe Moff and his dad are part of that rare breed of Cov fans that go to sixfields ?
The sixfield cov fans are the ones that really confuse me !!

Grow up John, neither of us have or will ever set foot in the place. Have you been?

I mean I see your logic, my dad was born in Newcastle, but has lived in Coventry most his life and supports them, that must surely mean he isn't a real fan (in your eyes) and so goes to Sixfields.

Utter fucking drivel. I suppose Man Utd fans from Salford don't have the same passion, what with it being a different city and all that.

I must have got you mixed up with another Valiant15 on here who has said countless times that he does have a problem with people from outside the Coventry supporting the football club. Apologies.

No i haven't.

Where in that post does it say i have a problem with outsiders supporting ccfc?

It doesn't.

Easy tiger i never said he wasn't a real fan.
But i do struggle to understand why he would choose another club over the club he was born and bred. In the same way i don't understand why cov fans are going to sixfields. So i wrongly assumed.

And this other Valiant15 also said that no one from Coventry would attend Sixfields and all those that did were obviously fans from outside the City. Stupid, eh? Anyway, nothing to do with you so....yeah fucking babies on here.

Funny that Italia didn't reply to this post. Almost like he's ignoring it. I wonder if the CT made up the quote below?

As it stands the Charity has had discussions with Mr Haskell. Those discussions continue and are positive and productive but have not reached a conclusion. I know that sounds like a communique issued after a "world leaders summit" but it is as far as I can go. The operative words are 'continue' and 'positive'.
I don't know where Richard Keys gets his information and I am sure that he hopes that he is being helpful but his information is not correct and at a time like this when everyone is suffering heartache, anger, sorrow and frustration I am not sure that speculation masquerading as fact is helpful to anyone.

I said i reckon that the majority of fans that go there are probably from Warwickshire. People like you who don't give a fuck where we play as you have no football club/city ties.

If you're going to lie at least try to be good at it.

What?! You and this other prick are the same person? I'm shocked. You've said it, I've just been back and looked. Plenty of juicy "outsider" comments too. And anyway, the "majority". What evidence do you have for that assumption? Not just making it up, are you?

Absolutely. For example I've been going to see City for 41 years. I've never lived in Cov but according to Valiant's rules I have no "emotional tie" to the football club. He's small minded. Xenophobe's always are.

This proximity=passion argument's a load of bollocks really isn't it?

Fair enough John. He moved to Coventry, when he was about 10 years old, and stayed and wanted to watch and support his local team. From then on he was a Sky Blue

Dear oh dear. In my view torch has as much emotional tie to the club as me. He's been going 40 odd years for Christ sake. Tbh we need as many fans as we can get, wherever they are from.
The more the merrier.

Clearly Michael from KCIC seems to think that Sphinx is the way forward - he bangs on about it at every opportunity which is a bit bizarre as they are a tuppeny happeny non league team (no offence) with no prospects and no fan base.

The club we should be worried about are 35 miles down the road at the moment - how we gonna mobilise to bring them back instead of wandering off into pointless distractions like this...

We havent forgotten the protests at Sixfields - they will happen, we just need a game to go ahead...

Ive said people can support who they like, its a free country.

Yes you have, but we cant all be super fanboy like you can we.

If he was only 10 then yes i can understand that Cov became his first choice team.

I've snuck in and had an impromptu penalty shootout in front of the East stand during the summer when it was open for season ticket purchases if that counts? We were spotted by at least three different staff members too, none of them gave a crap. Magic.
