presume you are talking about me?

Well I suggest you join the Trust then come to a meeting sit down with our Accountant and Book keeper, they will tell you to the penny how much is in both accounts.

1) I pay for my own fuel via my company.
2) All banners and leaflets are donated free of charge.
3) No idea what your talking about regarding a Newspaper spread
3) Me Silent, you do not know me, am never quiet

We are very tranparent, if you join the Trust I will meet you at the open meeting with other members on Sept 2nd where anyone can ask anything they wish.

Steve is not quiet, and a pretty big chap with a loud voice.COME ON GET YOUR KEEP COVENTRY IN COVENTRY WRISTBANDS ONLY A POUND in my ears at charity match.

Let me just clarify my fuel costs. I said they are paid 'via my company' which is by means of a company fuel card that fills my car with fuel each and every week, I then re-imburse the company for my private mileage!!! But the point I was making is that none of the trust board claim any fuel costs from the Trusts fighting fund!!!!!

Glad you didn't clarify to start with though.

Some of the outraged responses were really very amusing.

I must've missed those.
If you mean me - I can assure you I was perfectly calm & at ease with it. When we read, we perceive a tone - if you did mean me...you chose to perceive outrage.

I was just teasing :p

To be honest, I thought the whole thread was ridiculous.

I think I have my serious head on today ;-)

It is true though that power corrupts, & equally as ones power or influence grows...one becomes more prominent & others seek to seize opportunities to cut one down to size. I meant no harm, & hope Steve chooses words VERY carefully in future. Surprised PSGM (or whatever he is calling himself now) didn't latch on before me...& I suspect he does mean harm!

I ask any one of you sensitive lot to prove where I said they WOULD run off with the money? You are all missing the point. We don't know the board of the trust even if we know their names. We dont know what they are doing with the money seeing as it's not been published like they promised. And to the clever cloggs that mentioned them running off with my money, they'll struggle seeing as I haven't joined. The fact that everyone is kicking off just shows why i have lost interest. It should be about the football and not some money or fans trust.

Let me ask yoiu a few questions?
Regardless of the money and jokes about runing off into the sunset, what do you want?
Please do not take it the wrong way, just want to hear what you actually want to happen?

I am part of the Trust and like you just an avarage fan, no great mind or anything special but I am a member and joined as I felt that as one voice we are nothing, but with 100 voices we start to get louder.
We need the Trust and need opinions, we need to get help in getting our voice accross.
The March showed how we felt, the Charity game showed our strength.
All I am asking is rather than jokingly comment about money why not help us get the Trust to start thinking football and ways of getting this club and its football back to Coventry before its to late?

We do not have the answers but with a decent amount of support and with one voice we can a least search for some.

I'd like the trust to go to CCc and ask them to ensure Coventry play their home games in Coventry ASAP. There is still some debate to say CCc should have no interest in running a club and that they have too much say.

They should offer the Ricoh free of charge for 2013-14 without prejudice and start to talk through the other issues. They need to make this publicly and challenge sisu to public ally refuse.

It is clear that they hold the keys to unlocking this impasse but sisu will need to accept they can't get all they want without investment or proving they can be trusted over time

Fl and fa are not going to help so time to do their work.

All fans will come behind kcic campaign

Steve I appreciate that you have not taken my comments out of hand as others seem to have done. I must say though you should be telling me what you can do. I didn't start the trust, I don't see how any good can come from it and personally I don't see the point in it. Yes it makes those who are on the board FEEL like they are achieving something and the march was mightily impressive. However it did not actually achieve anything. Sitting here as an observer and not a member I can see nothing that the Trust has ACHIEVED since its inception. As a non-believer this is your chance to put to bed any questions of the trusts validity by telling us all what you have achieved, what your agenda is and the gameplan to achieving that objective. As a side note it may be worth telling us all what you intend to do with membership fees and if you have no plans for the money then why do people need to pay to join?

Rich - your questions on finances, current aims and recent achievements are very valid and sensible. Let me cover finances
1. Membership fees: due to the constitution and structure of Trusts we are obliged to charge a membership fee. This fee gives you a share in the Trust and that fee is kept in a separate bank account and we are obliged to keep that money ring fenced ie if we have 2500 members we have to have £2500 in that account. Its actually a bit annoying as when people join on line via Paypal due to fees we actually only receive £0.90 from Paypal.
2. Fighting Fund - this currently stands at around £3000 through donations, sale of ribbons and wrist bands, Godiva festival and individual donations. This fighting fund has to date been relatively untouched - banners, leaflets etc are all provided free of charge by Andy Turbitt of Penistone Printers. Andy is a board member who is a passionate City fan who does this all without any charge, no mates rates or discounts but free. The intention of the fighting fund is to be available for an legal costs or other associated costs that might arise should we need to look at buying the club out of liquidation or in the short term it might be used to subsidise coaches to protests etc. Basically it is there to pay for anything that it is felt will help get Coventry back to Coventry.

Just to be clear Board members receive no salaries, none claim any expenses, even those who travel from Lancashire or Yorkshire to meetings. All pay for everything out of their own pockets. Also the accounts are revued at each board meeting and the state of the balances is published in the minutes. Accounts are submitted to companies house (on time) and are a publicly available document.

It could be argued that achievements of the Trust have been negligible after all the team is now playing in Northampton, is in Division One, has a divided fan base, the city has an empty football stadium etc etc. The truth is the role of the Trust is to make sure that the fans (or at least our members views) are conveyed to the decision makers, whether they choose to ignore those views is another matter. Our role is also to try and make sure as much information is put into the public domain as possible, especially as there is so much BS published by both sides. We can sit in the middle, get information from both sides, make it available and allow people to make up their own minds without PR spin put on everything - good example of this was the publishing by the Trust of the details of the negotiations last year around the £400k offer. Can the Trust really force the parties to the table and make them agree a deal? Of course not but we can keep up the pressure through media exposure, support form NOPM, meet with the sides and keep pushing the fans concerns etc and hopefully both sides will realise that they cannot make purely selfish decisions but need to take the fans into account. We are the critical friend to both sides, trying to explain not only the moral need to listen to the fans but the practical advantage of listening to their customers or voters.

Obviously should the day occur when an owner either voluntarily or through circumstance liquidates the club then the Trust will play a major role in resurrecting the club. Hopefully that scenario will never happen but if it did we would be ready to lead any resurrection.

Hope that answers some of your questions

we all know this is a nonsense. there are 2 people who have the power to make this happen and now SISU have moved first and got another ground then its up to ACL/CCC to go to them and swallow their pride and sell it to them or at least offer free rent for this season and talk in the mean time. I don't see the big deal with sisu owning our ground as we are ccfc I wouldn't say its a massive shock that a football club owns its on stadium. thick, stubborn people that's the problem.

Jan, forgive me for jumping on one little quote ;)

Anyway, FWIW I always like your posts, always respected your efforts and your openness to listen to all sides, and generally how you phrase things tallies with what I'd hope and expect from a trust... I also understand well that you can have a personal view that may be more hardline, but that doesn't affect the public statements or the official trust position, and respect the fact you keep that to one side as much as possible for the greater good.

So I'll get the patronising personal view out the way first ;)

I do struggle with the bit I've taken out though. As I said, I read your posts/statements etc. and they do indeed come across as you say happens above.

The Trust statements however do, to me, seem somewhat schizophrenic! I could pick up (and will, if you want ;) ) a fair few statements that are anything but sitting in the middle without spin! And these statements kind of undermine what you say above, and runs the risk that 'sitting in the middle' is viewed with suspicion, as being not the genuine view or genuine desire of the trust. The shizophrenic nature, in short, erodes trust in the trust in my view, stops the trust being able to fulfill its role as well as possible, denies it a voice at times where it could maybe have a voice when others aren't able to speak.

Moving forward, have there been any discussions about how a more consistent message can be relayed and, if so, what was the result of those discussions?

I can see what you mean, Steve and Jan seem to listen and talk and clear up any queries etc but then other people put across a different impression. Also I am not sure on who it is that sends the newsletters or does the statements but it could be a case of it being somebody else who is a bit trigger happy.

One minute Jan will come up and say that the Trust are on the fence and balanced (which is how they should be as much as they can) and then a newsletter is sent out basically saying "SISU OUT", "Timmy Fisher" etc.

I think that's Michael Orton who runs the NOPM stuff and is quite hard line. Though the latest campaign message seems to be KCIC rather than NOPM and a bit more balanced.

Unless this is a different person and there's now KCIC AND NOPM-KCIC.

NO to both!

I did research on Miss Menounos' dress for the good of the community, and can confirm that there's no such thing as 'too tight' (insert optional Sisu gag here)
