Sky sports at it now. Coventry city council, Richard keys. Geoffrey Robinson's. Chris Coleman, bothroyd. Andy gray. Richard keys. Darren huckerby. Coventry evening telegraph. Bobby Gould. Coventry obsevor. They are all saying coventry heading for administration liquidation. When will these people learn. Stop listening to rumour. SISU have always been up front and truthful. Why are all these professionals not listening to SISU?

Are Skysports reporting that we are going into administration?

They reported that a third of all football league clubs could go into administration they then showed a photo of Port Vale's ground, Portmouth's ground, Plymouth's ground and the Ricoh. There seemed to be theme not sure what the theme was though?

Football clubs?

I doubt any of these people have a clue what is really going on at CCFC nor would they be a credible source of information IMO.

Surprised they showed the Ricoh when it has nothing to do with Sisu ;)

One side

Coventry City Council
ACL
Richard Keys
Aidy Boothroyd
Geoffrey Robinson
Darren Huckerby
Micky Quinn
Andy Gray
Coventry Evening Telegraph
Gary Hoffman
Ray Ranson
Chris Coleman
Bobby Gould

The other side

SISU AND Tim Fisher

You may disagree but IMO SISU have lied in the past. They came into the club with a business plan and did a complete u turn after 2 years. I also feel that the main reason they can't buy the stadium is because they are not trusted by the council, they are doing and have done for the last 3 years nothing to give the council any reason to think otherwise.

Also only in the last few day they did a very positive write up in the CET. Whilst at the same time as confirmed by Coventry City council threatened ACL with liquidating the club.

In all honesty some of the names above you may question them but they all have one thing in common they love the club and have the clubs interests at heart.

SISU
Do they love the club? Do they have the clubs best interests at heart?
Have they ever lied to you before?

Now think about all that and ask yourself again do you believe SISU or do you believe all of the above?

It's called jockeying for position.

Ed Balls will leap all over the the double dip recession nonsense in the same way.

If you have brains please see through it and react only to the facts.

Maybe you should follow your own advice and do the same as your statement about them jockeying for position is NOT a fact it's an opinion.

All those people saying we are going into admin/liquidation etc have no facts to support this. That's a fact!
If you can point me to where this is supported/reported/stated anywhere I'd like to see...

Did anyone else expect that to turn into either:
A) A version of "We Didn't Start The Fire", by Billy Joel,
B) A version of "It's The End Of The World As We Know It", by REM
or
C) A version of that "Winston Churchill! Maggie Fatchuur! Your boys took one hell of a beating?!" commentary?

Agreed Paxman! However neither do you when you interpret a reported threat to liquidate us as "jockeying for position". It may be but no one on here knows one way or another....whether they have brains or not ;-)

You wanted to see where it is reported Paxman

If you can point me to where this is supported/reported/stated anywhere I'd like to see...

“At the moment, there seems to be more threats than negotiation – the threat to put the club into liquidation. It really is time for Sisu to realise Coventry doesn’t bow at the knee to threats.”

"I was with the chairman of ACL David Allvey on Saturday"

Reported in the Coventry Evening telegraph a direct quote from Councillor John Mutton. An elected member of Coventry City Council talking about a vital part of the community.
Do you really think he would be crazy enough to lie about this?

Hope you are happy that is where it is reported also

http://www.football.co.uk/coventry_city/pay_the_ricoh_rent_in_full_sisu_rss2200611.shtml

I have the brains to know that when lots of professionals and 95% of the people on here think one thing. Usually the 95% are right and the 5% turn out to be wrong

But hey that is not always the case so maybe this time you will be in the freak 5% that proves the rest of the world wrong, and on this one I hope you are :)

I would not believe Mutton for one moment. Absolutely not! He's a politician and will spin anything.
He perceives something as that and that's his prerogative.

Until you hear from the horses mouth you can't believe what everyone else says as fact!

It's all conjecture, rumour and innuendo at the moment.

Mutton a politician .??

He's a councillor.

Look sisu stated thmselves. . . They can't pay the rent. What more do you need to explain the situation

Theyve threatened to liquidate. Is that honestly a shock to you? Sisu did state they would finance us for this season.

The council want the ricoh because it is making profits.

They shat on sisu

Now sisu will shit on the council

The evidence Is right there in front of your eyez your simply choosing to ignore it.

It's a fact that even if there's a takeover sisu want to have a ten or fifteen percent share in the club, its also a fact they have said they will put the club in admin or even liquidate the club as It's no longer any use to them and they can get money from that, these are truthful words from a drunk club rep aka TIM fisher

SISU will never admit it until it happens as they would be silly to admit that in a few weeks time we will liquidate the club as there would be uproar. Season ticket sales would stop. Debtors would come hammering the doors etc. The hoff would come out saying we are offering xyz they are not taking it. Legal arguemnts would ensue.

So if you want me to produce a document where SISU consider it as an option then I cant. If you want if from the horses mouth that will only be on the day it happens.

You said can you show me where it is reported anywhere. You have that now.

Why do you think SISU are allowing councillor Mutton and Richard Keys both in the local and national media to slander and lie about them.

If someone goes in the national media tomorrow and tells a complete lie about you Paxman and that lie affects your reputation personally, as a business and affects you financially. Would you address those comments either in terms of legal action or respond to them directly. Or would you stay very quite about those comments leaving most people to believe they are true?

I hope you have the brains to see through the little scenario above and draw the right conclusion

Again what you say is conjecture and listening to others (3rd parties comments) and accepting that any of it is true.
Every day people lie about others. the press the wider media, politicians you name it. Most simply do ignore such lies as not to give any credence to them.

No you can't produce a document or show any factual evidence....you are right by correcting your self.

You are entitled to your opinion and I mine. I simply take umbridge with people who wish to state things that are unfounded no matter what you want to believe is the reality. That's speculating at best and lies at worse.
When it comes to such important matters then it's wise to either get it correct and back it up with facts not conjecture built around 3rd hand comments.

I'm with Paxman all the way on this one, there are no hard facts, just peoples perspectives and a lot of spin. And Councillors most certainly are politicians, take it from one who works for one. I might agree with some of what he says, but I take much of it with a pinch of salt-something Mutton always requires ;)

Paxman. I respect your view. Personaly I think waiting, for things to happen, then trying to deal with them is a dangerous game. As IMO by then the horse you are referring to will have shot the Finnish stable :)
My own view is that keys and mutton have their own reputations and professionalisn at stake. They would not just make something like this up and lie.

I think SISU are saying one thing to the fans and one thing to ACL. Yes you are right they are doing it to try and get the best for themselves.

However the worrying thing is that it clearly shows they have learnt nothing and have not changed.

They desperately need to earn both the councils and fans trust for different reasons. Council to get the stadium, fans to sell tickets.

They are either lying to the fans or the council and like you point out we don't know which yet.

So their jostling for position as you call it. Will not increase trust from either side and is another step backwards. What they need now is total transparency with everyone.

Their current actions are bad on numerous levels

Firstly let's say keys and mutton and have not got together and concocted an evil plan. Then sisu have made the threat. If it is the truth they have lied to us fans again and we are on the verge of facing liquidation. If they have made the threat but are just playing mind games with ACL. They will have lied to ACL and by the sounds of it ACL have seen through their tactics and are not budging. Another situation in which their business decision making and their ability to read the situation can be called into question. If they were calling bluff the council now have more justification not to trust them. Hence the single most important aim for them, obtaining a share of the stadium probably just went up in smoke with that little tactic.
I think your view is that they have threatened it. But only as a tactic and you won't believe it is happening unless they say so. Well if that is the case then they have just scored a massive own goal. Very poor business tactics and maneuvers. They are no longer is a position to fire shots. They need to be completey transparent. Go on a charm offence and try and win both fans and partner agencies trust.

They would without question address these comments if they were unfounded. These comments are very damaging to them.
