We normally drive in and go roost, but thinking the same. Cant see parking being as easy as normal and the roost will be ridiculously busy so were thinking of getting the train to New Street and walking down via a few pubs.Usually go the Roost or Hennesey's but giving it a miss this week as it will be too busy.
Where is everyone else going?
That's very decent of you, mine's a GuinnessI m sticking to the Roost but I will be there early and order a tray of drinks lol pusb

Usually drink in the Crown but as that's getting a refurb it'll be somewhere different. I enjoy going from pub to pub in Digbeth much more than the Casino experience at the Ricoh but it's annoying that there doesn't appear to be a single pub in Digbeth with BT sport to watch the early kick offs.
Is Hennessey's alright? Went to uni with a lad who was bottled in there about a decade or so ago and he had to have plastic surgery and won a fair amount of £££ in a settlement, so always automatically assumed it was a dive without ever actually venturing in.Try Hennessys or the bull ring tavern

Got my lad with me though and it only takes one nobhead for it to go pear-shaped in there.
Give the new place Norton's Irish Bar a go - right by HennesseysIt's decent. Big beer garden is good. Shame the screen part broken at the moment.
I usually park and have one in the roost.
Going to get train this week and probably have one at the Shakespeare just outside new street station usually a decent pint in there
Spotted Dog should be alright this weekend. It's next week when the 6 Nations rugby starts it'll probably get too busy as it's a rugby pub especially if Ireland are playing. Loads of pubs around Digbeth, makes the levels of segregation inside the ground even more ludicrous.Normally eat in town, then Spotted Dog, then the Roost but I’m guessing they’re going to be packed this Saturday. Might just stick to the city centre and walk up in plenty of time. Although I’m tempted to try some of the new places I’ve not been to that are mentioned above. See how it goes on the day !
What time does the roost open?
Beer in there was terrible when went in.Spotted Dog for us, nice old fashioned pub, this is our pre match pub of choice
The mild is ok and £2 a pint. I drive so the mild is perfectBeer in there was terrible when went in.
Police announced yesterday that only the Roost will be accepting Cov fans.
I predict big problems getting a beer near the ground.
