Battling to avoid relegation from the Championship, playing at the Ricoh under owners SISU but a manager other than Mowbray. In 5 years time ?
Agree - we will be a club with a diminishing and ageing fan base. The only ones left will be those who remember the "good times" when we competed, rather than merely trying to maintain a business.Under Sisu in 5 years time, we will go through 7 new managers, 30 loan players, more court cases, multiple stadium drawings, the end of TF and Anderson. Will Be playing in L4 at BPA struggling with crowds and to get 3 points most weeks with 75% of the fan base at home or falling out on here about blame.
I don't see a club with any importance to most under Sisu, only hope is if they walk away leaving a new group or an individual coming in and being able to build bridges that allow the clubs future.
Yes probably!Have been thinking it through and unfortunately I see another event in the next five years.
Like the one where Otium came along to pickup the pieces, only the language that occasionally comes out makes me think there won't be an Otium type saviour.
This leads me to another question, we all assume Otium was created to pick up the pieces post event, is there any possibility it had another intended purpose for different circumstances?
Championship...playing at the Ricoh under the same owners as Wasps...with a promising progressive outlook
...onwards & upwards PUSB
They have & continue to strive to progress the rugby club. They can see there is more money in football. They can see a big unmet fanbase in the City. What makes you think being under the same owners as Wasps would make us promising and progressive. A hedge fund that has no qualms about moving a sports club from its home.
Second thoughts, if it makes good business sense maybe upping sticks would be progressive.

Just about spot on, I think !Unless there is a significant change either out of existence, playing in the Butts with temporary seating and a reduced capacity of 7-8,000 due to safety issues or at sixfields
But I'm not the only one.Round 2 of a cup competition...
...you may say I'm a dreamer....
Just about spot on, I think !
He could have said we'd be trundling along in League 1 playing at the Ricoh, I think he suspects like me that once we stick Wasps in court they'll boot us out on our arses !But I'm not the only one.
I think many would agree with this .We'll be playing our rivals Bedworth United in a league game...
In a relegation six pointer at kirby CornerI think many would agree with this .
Blimey , is that place still there ? wasn't that Cov Sportings ground ??In a relegation six pointer at kirby Corner
It certainly was mateBlimey , is that place still there ? wasn't that Cov Sportings ground ??
Try lower ! ie non league !!Champions League, new stadium in City Centre just upgraded to 35k after our Incester style title win.
Or
League 3, playing in front of 5k at the Butts.
Either way, well still be in court.
Let's hope you're correct .I would settle for still being able to see CCFC in 5 years time, i.e. that they are still in existence.
This leads me to another question, we all assume Otium was created to pick up the pieces post event, is there any possibility it had another intended purpose for different circumstances?

Worked really well for them at QPR.Decent comments there Tommy .i particularly like the idea [If we must] of combining with Wasps. has to be a good thing to work together ?
The first minute is Simon Gilbert saying he has spoken to CRFC and been told architects plans have been drawn up and they are keen for CCFC to groundshare with them. How does that make it a non starter?I have said that CCFC at the BPA is a non starter, and been shouted down for my efforts..... This is why it's a non starter, the first minute says it all. http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/watch-simon-gilberts-analysis-plans-11349995
