I really fail to see the bit about 15k stadium, and 25k being too big that you don't understand??? in 99% of fans eyes, 15k is a "Non starter" because CCFC will never as long as we've all got "Holes in our arses" live and prosper off 15k MAXIMUM gates.... Without trying to be personal here, for a man that comes across as intelligent, you've not got the common sense you were born with mate!
Why don't you start one and see?
So by non-starter what you actually mean is the plans you haven't yet seen might not be acceptable to you personally.
Once again I'll state.. What part of QUOTE[John Sharpe saying 25k is TOO BIG]UNQUOTE Don't you understandAt no point does it say 15K maximum. It says they're talking about 15K and 25K is possible. Personally I'd rather wait and see some plans or further details rather than declaring the whole project dead.
You said it was a non-starter. That's just factually wrong, CRFC state it has got as far as architects getting involved and plans drawn up and they are keen for CCFC to groundshare. So by non-starter what you actually mean is the plans you haven't yet seen might not be acceptable to you personally.
Well he's right isn't he? We have no need for a 25K stadium at present. He also says the site is capable of having a 25K stadium so we need to see the plans and details of how quickly and at what expense that expansion could take place if needed.Once again I'll state.. Common sense I would have thought. It may very well be the case that it doesn't move forward at all. Or maybe we'll see some plans and decide it is totally unsuitable. Or we could see plans and it be the ground we all want.I'll tell you what Dave... Let's wait and see eh?
Final post from me on this CD... listen CLOSELY to what Simon Gilbert has to say when "Quoting John Sharpe"... 15k stadium is what we're looking at, possibilities of 25k, BUT that is too big, so looking at 15k with other things such as retail outlets, student accomodation etc, etc. Seems you think we could possibly fit Wembley onto the site too eh?

So you think Simon Gilbert would set himself up for a little trip to court to defend a libel/slander case do you? Also worth point out the video is not an unedited video of Simon interviewing Sharp. Its Simon talking about what was said in a conversation with him, not that the Telegraph ever spin things to look bad for the club.
Has Mowbray been announced as Rotherham's new manager yet?
No I'm saying Simon had a conversation with Sharp and then relayed his recollection of it in a video on the CT website. He probably wasn't expecting for someone such as yourself to take it as absolute undeniable proof that it is in no way possible for CCFC and CRFC to groundshare at the Butts. So you think Simon Gilbert would set himself up for a little trip to court to defend a libel/slander case do you?

I don't know Sharp but I can't imagine he would be straight on the phone to his lawyer for being quoted as saying the Butts could hold a 25K ground but that would be too big. It would certainly be too big for CRFC and at present it would be too big for us.
It was an example of the CT putting a negative spin where CCFC are concerned. There has been several articles a day saying Mowbray is going yet the club have said, on more than one occasion, no approach has been made. Now it turns out another club have given permission for their manager to be spoken to.You haven't come back with the "Mowbray" bit yet!
Why? That is 13,500 home capacity. How many times this season have we had more home fans than that? What can I say.....................TOTAL BOLLOX!
F**k your examples mate! you tried to imply I said/thought he was going to be RUFC manager. when I never said/implied anything of the sort!It was an example of the CT putting a negative spin where CCFC are concerned. When we were winning, quite a few games were well above 15k. It takes a winning team and outlook on our future, and gates will be well over 22k-25k for every home match. Why? That is 13,500 home capacity. How many times this season have we had more home fans than that?
Really..I mean really? why the f**k did you ask me that question then???Nope, try again.

You try to manipulate figures to conform with your argument, it ain't gonna work.
I really don't give a s**t what figures you're showing. CCFC will need a minimum capacity of 25k..... 27,306 (Gillingham first game back at Ricoh) You telling me you'd not give a f**k if 13.5k fans couldn't get a ticket? Full house against Crewe(JPT) Did those crowds actually happen Yes or No? Better to have a stadium with that sort of capacity from the get-go, than f**k about spending extra time/money extending. Common sense to me, don't know about anybody else. Thoughts guys?
So one game after we'd been away for a year - which will hopefully never happen again. And another where we had to reduce tickets to a fiver to fill the ground. Great examples.
I would love to be taking about building a new 50K ground and filling it every week but we are where we are and have very limited options. If a 15K ground at the Butts offers a better financial future to CCFC than whatever deal Wasps will offer us to stay at the Ricoh then we should go for it.
Depends on the cost difference though. I don't buy a ten bedroom house and I only need 3 in case the in laws and other family want to stay every couple of years.Old saying Dave.... Better to have something and not need it, than to need something and not have it!

So do you think... buy the ground and build a 15k capacity stadium for (Arguments sake £20m) or a 25k capacity stadium for £40m? Or do you then in 3 years extend to 25k and think you will only pay the extra £20m?...... Rocks in your head if you think that will happen.Depends on the cost difference though. I don't know, that's why it depends on what the architect can do doesn't it?So do you think... buy the ground and build a 15k capacity stadium for (Arguments sake £20m) or a 25k capacity stadium for £40m? You wouldn't know what ethics were if it kicked you in the bollox.....Galen.Why do you bother CD, honestly? It's like trying to teach ethics to a chimp. He will NEVER get it.

If its like Stadium MK then the concretes all in position upstairs and just needs finishing off and seats adding.I don't know, that's why it depends on what the architect can do doesn't it?
