Bigger question could be if we're still up there, in or around the play off mix in January, do you think the owners will gamble a little and make funds available to have a tilt at chasing the big cash?

I think we’ll be very similar to Luton from last season. They had a good start too if I recall correctly and they finished 12th I think.

7th - 12th got my vote.
The almost traditional Christmas crash does worry me!
But maybe this team has more about them....... if we can hopefully avoid too many injury problems.

I feel this is going to be a wide open League this year top to bottom I put Fulham firm favourites for promotion but the rest including West Brom will be on a season long battle.

7-12 with a not completely unrealistic thought we have an outside chance at doing more.

Not getting carried away with our start, but equally it’s a reason for hope. We’ve outplayed each team and won three of those games. The bigger test will be this week, but MR has shown flexibility with team selection and tactics already so far - something he hasn’t always done. Evidence him and AV have learnt from last year?

We also have a stronger squad, with some first teamers/challengers still to return, plus another signing this summer and I’d expect another in January to reinforce wherever MR believes it is needed.

Any progress from last year should be applauded, but I think this squad has enough to surprise. Team spirit and morale seems excellent too, let’s not dismiss the importance that can have.

This sort of thread in August can only be bettered by one in September "Where will we finish next season?"

Tbh I think if our season goes as well as the start has gone and we remain largely injury free to key players, then we can dream of a playoff berth. We would need some luck in the mix, but from what I see so far no reason we couldn't do it.

West Brom and Fulham should occupy the automatics
The rest is fair game
Both should be in the top 6. But would be surprised if both in top 2.

There is normally a surprise team each season. The neutrals and teams that have played us so far would call us. To me a lot of it is down to how Godden does. And so far he is averaging about 3 goals a game 🤫😁

Top half for me. Keep it up and be around the playoffs most of the season. Get a result against QPR and confidence will be Sky high. And we can see that this squad is a very close unit. Fitness levels look high. Most of this division are playing catchup.

And to top this we have O'Hare. He would get in any side. Anything is possible if he keeps injury/suspension free.

Going to depend who if anyone we sign this week I think what we have now will get us above half way if we don’t get too many injuries get another decent acm to add to our attacking options might give us the clout to do better.
