We will finish top 6. The caveat to that is keeping Vik and O'Hare. I read somewhere this morning that Burnley are preparing a bid for O'Hare again of £5m. Well that has to be a joke. I'd value O'Hare and Vik at 15m each tbf. A lot will now depend on the new owner (if it goes through btw) He has stated he likes to get involved in the business end including operations such as identifying players to bring in. That's a worry as Robins will not want that kind of interference considering what he has achieved at this club on peanuts...

But now his pockets are bulging with King's Macadamias, and we're laughing all the way to the Promised Land.

Depends on if we keep the squad together, add anyone or lose anyone. If we keep it together and bring in 1 or 2 solid players, then promotion it is. If we keep the same squad then top 8 maybe 7th I’d say. If we lose players then 12th and I’d be happy with that considering the start to the season

Higher than most of those ahead of us, how high depends on Doug King being true to his word, no sales and allowing Mark Robins to bring in his two maybe even three additions.

January is key off and on the pitch, off the pitch seeing what king does re keeping the squad together adding to it.
On the pitch allowing the real king mark robins to get on with his job.

We wil be on track for top 6 if we keep top 3 players and add better quality in areas of need, come Jan. If that is done top 6 will be the expectations and ay a realistic one.

If we sell any of the top 3 and don't recruit 15th or 16th i think is a fair shout.

We’ve flown up the table and 6th is possible.

SISU / Joy has been incredibly lucky that we’ve been on the run we have.

In the space of 3 weeks we’ve gone from bottom of the table - ish to play off outliers.

We’ve gone from valuing our squad at £30m tops to £30m minimum.

Without that run getting Doug or anyone else to buy / debt swap would have been less likely.

Also the timing is good.

Just like, if you don’t your house in the summer you sold it at the right time.

Soon, interest rates will affect clubs and some of the Derby (as was) types will struggle. The cost of living will see people cut back and casual fans will attend less.

Sky subscriptions? That’ll be cut. We could go on.

Antway, Joy has got out at the right time.

Said 3rd originally, dependant on no sales stick to it.
Just looked at last years table ppg Burnley have got the same rate as Fulham finished with and we are ahead of ours for last year we finished with 1.39 currently on 1.52 that give you 70 points would have made top 6 in 2019/20 and i think we will improve .Keep the faith
80 points
To achieve that from now 1.9 ppg doable.

I did a quick comparison of this season v last season’s equivalent games, swapping out relegated/promoted sides for their replacements. Interestingly we are now 1 point up overall and were 11 points up over the last 9 games.

The team will need to exceed last year’s points tally by around 10 points in order to reach the play offs. Given the new defensive stability and providing no players depart in January, this looks very achievable.

Think we're minimum a top 10 side if we hold vik and avoid injuries.
Every club's fans going to be saying if we spend a bit in Jan we're in with a chance. But clubs just don't have the money. Hardly any spending over last 4 or 5 windows in the Championship.

Incredible graph, but what we're really interested in is how you think it'll look come next May.

Also, click this above.

This is the league's ceteris paribus. It's about as good as it gets for predicting the end position of a league. This is the bloke to blame for inventing it.

Of course, the Problem of Induction states that the past doesn't predict the future. This, however, hasn't stopped science from making a killing at it. 😈

One game at a time, you can only play what's in front of you.
