Very prophetic, at the time.

That is most certainly what distracted, fatigued and ultimately deflated the team. Of course, two huge games against PL opposition in the cup would be a huge deal for any team outside the PL, but it ultimately killed our playoff push. That, and losing Tatsu, and not having real success in the January transfer window.
