Better than WLADITT
Think we played it early years at the Ricoh too? I only managed to go to highfield road a few times due to my age, but for sure remember this song well.Yeah, you're right. Got it stuck in my head now.
You might be right. Can't remember. Just reminds me of HR as does the lovely version of the Eton Boating Song they've taken to playing at the CBS now. Pleased to hear that again.Think we played it early years at the Ricoh too? I only managed to go to highfield road a few times due to my age, but for sure remember this song well.
Ha. We've had some horrors over the years.Nothing will ever beat Stand up for the Sky Blues.
Had a pen that played that hahaOh God, this too:
Had a pen that played that haha
Instantly sucked back to HR:
I'm actually really enjoying this....Coventry, pride of the Midlands!
Rather this that all that modern shite they play that no-one cares about.Love the Club badge that's how it should look.
I don't know why they can't play these songs on the buildup to the game at CBS.
Love a bit of nostalgia.
I'd love to do the axe solo in the middle of the pitch at half-time.This is the best out of the three songs should definitely be played at the CBS.
Rather this that all that modern shite they play that no-one cares about.
Oh God, this too:
Yeah who decides what gets played the CBS.
That's actually my video and my record!! THat's my son when he was 8 or something.Remember this?
Not sure. They just play the dreary records that loosely relate to the player chants. So, annoying.
Someone needs to have a word with Doug King.
Absolutely love it.Does anybody else have nostalgia for this song?
I get it’s slightly naff, but I remember hearing it in the shop for my first visits to Highfield Road in the late 90s, so I associate it with that incredible excitement of my first live football matches. I’m probably in the minority, but would love to hear it on more match days in the playlist before the rendition of WLADITT.
This was my memory haha. It was like Disneyland for Coventry City fans.It used to be played on repeat from a little boombox in the old club shop ( the anecdote)
I actually quite like it but think it's probably likely due to the association with last day escapes in the PL. I'd forgotten about the C-O-V - E- N-T-R-Y bit.Ha. We've had some horrors over the years.
For a while they played it as the team came out instead of "all sing together" IIRCThat's actually my video and my record!! THat's my son when he was 8 or something
I have a couple of CCFC LPs too. One from the 60s and one from 1983 which celebrated 100 years of CCFC. On the front there was a dreadful picture of a few players: Terry Gibson and others dressed in 19th C attire and on the back the same picture but them in the kit. Tallon, I think. Not played it for decades. Will have to dig it out.For a while they played it as the team came out instead of "all sing together" IIRC
I agree, the nostalgia is strong. Maybe we should mention it to Pete next time he has a meeting to get this played more.Does anybody else have nostalgia for this song?
