Well he uses the diamond formation far too often for my liking. He should play to combat the opposition. For example you say we haven't got a strong side so then we should be playing against the opposition weakness. It's what teams do to us. This is when a manager earns his crust.

He plays the diamond formation. You say no plan B. Play to your opponents weaknesses you say. AT plays to our opponents weaknesses. So then what do you say? :facepalm:

Camp would have been MOM if Juke would have missed with the header that got us the goal. He made good saves. Any headers off the line? Did we hit the woodwork? We could have had 3 or 4 goals from the chances we had. Would it have been as poor a performance as you say if we would have scored more goals? :thinking about: How many times did the florists have good chances like we did?

I am sorry for you that AT can't get us to play like Spain with the squad he has at his disposal. I suppose another manager would have us top by now

Yes, I must be watching a different game to you Mumford. Because I see and think almost the exact opposite to you in every single regard. It wasn't long ball Saturday, it was mixed up. Most passes were into feet or chest, with the odd "direct" ball to head-but these travelled much less distance than in a long-ball side and were targetted. I didn't see a single hoof from Wood, whereas under Boothroyd he'd have smacked it aimlessly forward everytime he got the ball.

Forest were very poor and a better side could have been beating us at HT, yea we didn't play well for 90 mins but what sides do play well for 90 mins?
It is about scoring when you on top and not conceding when you are under pressure which is exactly what we did on Saturday. I don't think we adopted a long ball aproach like under Boothroyd, under Boothroyd it was get the ball forward as quick as possible and hope for a lucky break most of the time. It may have been a slightly more direct approach with more probing forward passes but they were along way away from aimless punts, isn't that what everyone was calling out for more penetration?
We looked better on Saturday when our full backs were pushing higher and even got to the byline once or twice and putting QUALITY crosses into the area, even Bell made a run in behind the Forest LB on Saturday. This is one of the biggest flaws of our play so far this season we rarely try to get in behind the opposition full backs or defenders which means everything is in front of Forest, if you try and get it in behind you can force a corner or dangerous throw even if you can't reach the ball.

This season we have to make the best of what we have and hope that three teams end up worse than us.
We need to support AT and the players no point moaning about what we haven't got !!!!!!
And lets hope there is light at the end of the tunnel with a take over.
