The thing is the vast majority of them aren’t good enough, e.g. Finch and Thomas who you’ve probably rated before and been proven wrong, but I’m not sad enough to trawl through your posts to find out.Why does it matter how old someone is if they’re good enough as you’ve said?

The first years have a few good players. James Maddison, George Thomas and Cian Harries are the players who should have a good future.
Then why do you rate a currently average league 2 player? At least Maddison could do it in league one, but Shipley can’t even do it in league 2. Unless he’s been played out of position and should be playing at left back.Yes, the same at every club in England. You will get a few who make it onto the big stage, few who play Championship and the rest who will forge a career at L1-L2 level. CCFC are ranked 9th in England for producing players who make it professional.
And no I never rated Thomas or Finch.
Said about Finch in 2014: ‘Finch needs to be put out of his misery’
Said about Thomas in 2015:
For me, a midfielder has to:
Add something going forward
and/or
Be solid defensively.
Vincelot is solid defensively, Fleck adds something going forward (so far this season) as does JOB and Maddison. Thomas does neither’
Well like you said in another post "I can recognise talent when I see it"Yes, the same at every club in England. Just to prove me wrong, who will have a bright future out of the current crop then? Not that I’ll remember this in a few years time.Said this about then 16 year olds George Thomas, Cian Harries and James Maddison
Don’t claim to be an expert but I’d like to think I have a slight idea about what I’m talking about.
"Really? I don’t rate Burge very highly either but to say he’s not good enough for L2 when he’s part of the best defence is ridiculous"
So by your logic (and your quote above) You say Burge is good enough for L2 (as we have the best defence) but you wouldn't retain him as in another post you said we need a keeper!? :emoji_laughing:
I like him and I think he shows a lot of pomise. If Shipley goes on to Championship level it'll be at left back in my opinion. Not a natural winger - doesn't have the beating of a man and not creative or steely enough to play centrally. Think he does have a lot of good all round qualities though and would make a very solid left back with the engine to get forward too.
Does it matter that he is a bit of a chicken when it comes to tackling though? If Shipley goes on to Championship level it'll be at left back in my opinion. Ah come on, admit you are wrong, trust me, it’s good for the soul, you will feel cleansed, a great weight lifted off your shoulders, a great big breath of fresh air in your lungs-a bit like me and Maddison. Go on, you can do it....Not quite but it was a good attempt. Said we need a new goalkeeper. Would keep Burge as #2 if we managed to sign an experienced one.
Keep going. You might be able to catch me out soon if you try really hard and read things correctly

Does it? Oh ok.Wrong about what? I posted we should sign a new goalkeeper in the summer not that we shouldn’t retain him. You can sign players and retain others, that’s how football works and you build a squad
I also think we need two new strikers but in your world that means I wouldn’t retain McNulty.
Not sure I rate your Geography-he’s from Burundi, not Coventry.Very very sad. Adge and I presume his son are on a internet forum rubbishing players who made it professional.
Adge and son, you aren’t good enough and never were good enough. It’s time to let it go, many people aren’t good enough but they don’t many years later still have an agenda.
I’m sure Gael Bigirmana would trade his career which involves playing in the Premier League, scoring in the Premier League, playing in a European quarter final and scoring for his home city at Wembley to have Adge the referee rate him

Does it? Oh ok.
Whooo hooo! Triple whammy for me.Home town/city
the city or town where one was born or grew up; also : the place of one's principal residence
Aye. He might know where I was born too! :emoji_smiley:Great response as usual. You should let your son do the talking, he has the same agenda but can at least read and form sentences correctly
I’m not sure of the logic behind offering Reid (a high earner and 30 year old who’s already forced a move out of the club) a new deal then selling Shipley for a small fee who’s in his first year of first team fotball and has done well
Shipley will play at least in the Championship. Very happy to be quoted on that in a few years time.
Aye. He might know where I was born too! :emoji_smiley:
Shipley will be at Nuneaton with the Kelly-Evans twins.
We will see. No one knows for sure.
I had the same with George Thomas. He was a laughing stock on here worst player to ever play for the club apparently but I recognised his quality even when he wasn’t scoring or contributing to games and so did Grendel I think. Too slow, no end product, no fight, no stand out quality and come the end of the season fans were begging him to stay.
Couldn't agree more.Couldn’t understand why Thomas was lambasted at the start at all. Shipley has done well in his first season - played far more games than expected - it’s incredible people want to hang onto Reid and let him go
I don’t think Dion has had much of a chance. I have only ever seen him have one bad game, Accrington a few weeks ago when the whole team were shocking. When he came on and played in midfield at MK I thought he was really impressive. I think he deserves a chance.Twisting this a little, Which player(s) have you been most disappointed with this season.
For me, Vincenti and Kelly.
Was expecting big things from the pair and at the start of the season, Kelly especially was looking a class act. He just hasn't been the same player since his injury though. Too many anonymous efforts from him.
Vincenti has been a big disappointment. I have stuck up for him on a number of occasions and on occasion I think he has done pretty well, but he is so inconsistent and for every half decent game he puts in a poor performance.
The others have to be the DKE's. We knew they weren't without fault, but they seem have gone backwards this season to a degree where they are a bit of a liability.
