There’s a chance Bayliss will get called up by England for the Toulon tournament in the summer. They tend to call up players who haven’t been capped yet at U17-U20 level

If we are still on L2 I’d let one of the keepers go and one of the left backs. The two DKE’s I think will be gone as probably will vincenti. The others I would keep I think. Try and get Doyle into playing and coaching (wouldn’t surprise me to see him managing CCFC in a few years). Getting andreu and jones back will be like having two new players.
If we are in L1 then we need more in midfield and on the left side (defensively and midfield). I’m not even convinced of mcnulty in L1 let alone biamou.

If we go up we need to focus on the defensive side and maybe pick up a proven striker and some pace. There’s a chance we could go up with cash in the bank from Maddison and Wilson so it’s not impossible we’ll be able to get a decent player or two.

If we stay down TBH Id mostly keep my powder dry. Jones and Andreu in the team will sort our creative issues out IMO. I’d like to see work on the fullbacks and maybe another DM.

Edit: totally forgot we need another winger either way really. No more Bayliss on the right.

If we don't get promoted, isn't it more a case of who will want to stay?
I hope we keep Ponticelli, but I fear he will leave.
On the back of what? He's scored 1 league goal. I've noticed you've been banging the Ponticelli drum all season but when he's been in the first team all I've seen (aside from the weekend's goal) is a player who at present lacks the basics expected of a professional footballer. Now I'm not saying that this wouldn't come in time but I expect that your fears surrounding Ponti are substantially premature.

I consider myself well and truly put in place. Fair play.

I've just mapped out something that looked similar to that....

Could be a relatively settled squad whichever division we are in. Think the core of the squad is good enough to have a go at league 1 if we go up, just need a couple of key signings.

He may be beyond us but I'd go all out for Bruno Andrade to fill the RW position. Would be a good complement to Jones.

Get rid of Stokes and Haynes, and look to sign someone half decent for LB

I'd keep Stokes as a versatile backup but sign a new first choice. Haynes I think we could get something for. There's been interest in the past, someone at league one level might take a gamble.

Hasn’t proven me wrong yet, played a couple of games where he’s shown he’s not at the required standard. Shipley will see out most of his career at league 1 or lower, unless he manages to stay with us by accepting he won’t be anywhere near the first team. Nothing against the guy, always gives 100% but he’s a league one player.

You said he wouldn't play full stop. He's scored a fucking goal and has literally played about 5 games

HE'S ALSO TWENTY THREE

Some good calls in there @SlowerThanPlatt , I still think some of the same with Shipley lacks pace and certainly lacks bottle but has a good left foot.

Most of the ones that I wanted rid of have gone and we are a better club for it.

I just can’t believe someone is this thick and claims to get 90% of things right

Yes, Tom Bayliss and Jordan Shipley who are playing over them. Haven’t you noticed them playing for us this season?
Did you go to the Stoke game?
What does that have to do with anything? But no I never
It was Maguire Drew. So he wasn't playing in the middle (Bayliss) or on the left (Shipley) and has been deployed on the right in the limited appearance's he has made. Hence the "is there nobody" line.
Okay but that’s not what you originally said. You said don’t we have any better players in our system than Maguire Drew and Barrett who can play in them positions and the answer is yes we do. Bayliss right midfield although not where he’s best is far better than the two loanees we’ve had

Maguire Drew started 3 games after that and was taken off at half time against Accrington and never seen in a Cov shirt ever again.
Good fun looking back at this! This was a belter! Trying to call people out about players playing in the correct positions etc and didn’t even go to the game v Stoke. Didn’t realise that Maguire Drew was playing 😆

What are you going on about now? He played about 3 games for us didn’t he and Bayliss played the majority of the season there?...

Yet in the post above you’re saying we don’t have anyone better than Maguire Drew
