Who's been in Kings ear? (1 Viewer)

The worry would be that King ( who let’s not forget “was more of a Rugby man”) has seen circa 60 games of football and now considers himself an expert.

Yet the next “Head Coach” will have to work with the same players picked by the same scouts. Because that’s elite.

Despite how poor they've been, there's plenty of young players there that are capable of a bit more. A better tactician should get them playing well.

King started implementing the new structure last season. Roberts was appointed in December.
Boateng arrived in July.

Where did this football novice get the idea to do this from?
Has he got someone advising him, did he watch a YouTube video?

I’m at a loss as to what point you’re actually trying to make to be honest

He has no sentimental attachment to Robins like our fans.

The simple fact is, any other manager at any other side in this country would have been sacked months ago.

To have that money to spend and to play like we are is not good enough. It's a shame it had to end this way.

Yeah the new coaches in the pre season.

Explaining his thinking behind the backroom reshuffle, Robins told CoventryLive: “In terms of the two lads who have come in, during the interview process I was building in my head what it would look like.

“We want to try to give all the players as much as we possibly can do to give them the opportunity to be the best that they can. That’s the aim and clearly we’re still way away from other clubs in the Championship (in terms of backroom personnel) but we’re moving in a positive way.

“We are moving towards elite. An elite environment is what we’re after and with a performance director, Claire-Marie (Roberts), coming in, she’s really good. She’s really thoughtful, innovative and got some really good ideas but really calm and considered with what she says and does, so that’s a big help.

It's simple, where did king get the idea from.
And how did someone who admits to having no football knowledge come up with the idea?

And it's clear the wheels were put in motion long before this season and probably we'll before the end of last season.

Robins sacking has been in the pipeline for a while as King goes about restructuring the club.

But the man with no interest in football surely didn't come up with this idea himself did he?
.who's been putting ideas in his head?
If anyone's making that decision it's someone with no interest of football

Robins had nothing to do with it. That's clear from the barbed comment in the statement the club released.

Do you think the Roberts appointment wasn't part of this?

I don’t know because I’m not privy to what goes on behind the scenes of a football club.

Post season review seems pretty normal no? Review of previous objectives have been met and set new ones for the following season one of which was to revamp the coaching structure.

Again im still not sure what point you trying to make but as a guess naming Robert’s would suggest you think this was all her decision and she’s in the ear of King.

I just quoted what he said.

I'm not sure what point you're trying to make, all of the coaching stuff happened after Lawrence left and was implemented over the summer.

People have it in their mind that Robins had nothing to do it with it because they blame that for our bad form. The same as he has nothing to do with bad signings but gets all the credit for Gyokeres or Hamer.

He is literally quoted as saying:

In terms of the two lads who have come in, during the interview process I was building in my head what it would look like.

He was very much involved.

It’s my fault, I bought a couple of fucking season tickets this time around.
In reality, the blame here lies with the person responsible for blowing a lot of money on players this Summer who blatantly are nowhere near as good as what we had. Plus that same person who didn’t strengthen the defence or midfield and didn’t find us a leader on the pitch.
If that was MR, then he made a rod for his own back, however if it was DK then Robins has been made a scapegoat.
