How much is "so much money Nick"? You've clearly researched the costs in depth...

Also it doesn't have to be temporary. If we're liquidated it can be permanent. Why are so so defeatist?

Sorry, was I meant to have made a spreadsheet before commenting that running a football club costs money?

Coventry United is already fan owned, why not invest in them? If you want to run a club then why not take over sphinx...

If support groups are to by there will be splinter clubs of splinter clubs and the league Will be full of breakaway clubs.

I'm not defeatist, just realistic.

Why would people waste so much money on a temporary football club? Who would invest money into something that could be dropped like a stone in month's?

Because they care about getting CCFC back to Coventry.

Because Coventry United is not fan owned in its true sense and has nothing to do with CCFC. They originally said they were not a breakaway club and have now changed stance in order to jump on the bandwagon. They aren't Coventry supporters - they called their team United and play is red - there's a subtle clue in there somewhere.

Taking over Sphinx would be disrespectful - they have their own identity.

I'm trying to find solutions here. If a better one comes up I'll back it. I don't think that doing nothing is a solution, I think it is accepting watching the club play in Northampton for years and then relocate permanently outside the City in a tiny stadium.

Can you really stomach that as the club's future? Doesn't it make your blood boil? Doesn't it make you want to do something?

Starting a new club isn't getting them back is it? If people just want to prove a point to sisu about Coventry teams then pack out a sphinx, copsewood etc game.

There are already fan owned clubs in Coventry, why not approach them with investment?

I really don't think you understand. Its simple really:

Set a club up in Feb 14 with the INTENTION (that is the key word) of kicking off in Aug 14.

Send a letter to sisu stating that they get their arses back to Coventry by the start of the 14/15 season, otherwise this new club will be considered to be CCFC by X amount of city fans.

If they never return to Coventry, then the club just continues as our club, and we haven't lost anything.

If they do return then the new club can have a shareholders vote asking if it should re join the other CCFC.

I can't speak for all of the owners but the couple I know of are big city fans. When I asked about the red it was because it's one of the city's colours.

Why is it not fan owned? City fans bought the club and run it, what is truly fan owned? Have you spoken to them about it?

I think they said at the time they aren't a Phoenix club at the minute but can be if needed.

Did you ask about the United part?

'Can be a Pheonix club if needed' is hardly in the spirit of what a breakaway club is, is it?

It was a generic football club type name I assume.

Which if the owners is a man utd fan like you keep going on about?

That's an assumption on my part.

However they aren't a breakaway club for CCFC as they stated themselves. However it would make things easier. It's not ideal.

So you state its owned by man utd fans when you don't actually know?

I didn't state that I know it's owned by Man Utd fans. Do you often get fact confused with opinion?

How can you have an opinion someone is a man utd fan. They are or they are not.

It was an assumption based on the name and kit the club formed plays in.

It's immaterial, as they aren't a CCFC breakaway club.

It Villa state that they 'can be a breakaway club' do we go with that? If Sphinx do the same do we go with that?

Saying that if it's the only way we can issue this ultimatum to SISU then I'd go along with it.

Would sisu be bothered? That is the question. Should they be? I think so, but would they be
