I've said plenty of times that our problems lie in scoring goals rather than conceding them-though that falls flat if we lose all our senior centre halves. The bigger worry is up front as right now, McDonald is literally the only striker at the club bar Jeffers and ROD-and I'll be surprised if the latter stays. An injury to Cody and we're screwed-and even if he keeps fit, we're expecting him to score most of our goals. If people aren't concerned by that I don't know what does.

BSB i agree, if we lose 1 or 2 of our defenders we'll still be ok as we've got pretty good cover there, but midfield and more so up front we are always going to struggle.

Cody will get goals in lg 1 i'm sure, but theres a hell of a lot of pressure on him if nothing changes before the season starts, if he gets injured or has a poor run of games you just cant see where regular goals will come from. Macca will always chip in with a few throughout the season, again providing he can stay fit, but there's no-one else in the squad you would put any money on to say they would get at least 5 goals in a while season - pretty desperate really.

Don't be offended by what I'm going to say now mate...........If we make sure we've got enough clean nappies, lots of warm milk in bottles, and get the board down to burp the players then YES! we will have enough cover for the players!

I can see why there is some panic as I said in my opening sentence but lets see what develops in the next month.

There are also not many 30 man squads in league 1 that do not involve at least a proportion of youth or loan signings to boost the coffers. I think people expecting a 25 man squad of seasoned pro's clealry have not done the math.

Of the players who we have released overall I do not think we can have too many complaints with decision, none of them really contriubuted to decent levels last season. Clingan wanted to go so good luck not too bothered about keeping a man with two relegations already on his cv! Eastwood - good riddance, Ireland fair enough. Platt debatable I liked him personally but think we can get someone in who is more hungry, younger and probably a lot cheaper.

There are a lot of unanswered questions at this time of the year but there is with most clubs all are restructuring with players out currently. I am hoping that we will all see where we are going more by the end of next month.

How do you feel now we are at the end of the aforementioned month? Personally I am still a bit panicking. However the embargo has been lifted so let's see, still think it needs to b 7 to 8.

Also the books have added to the panic
