He's is full of shit. A yes man who talks like he's been on one too many motivational courses. He had one spell where we looked like a semi decent team and that was because we had the best strike force in the league by far and even then we were shipping goals like crazy.
He looks like he'd make an excellent fishmonger though, I'll give him that.
Wilson injured until March? Moussa refusing to play last few games?
Still your hero judging by your avatar...
Hes gone and is no longer with CCFC so why do we need to bash / hammer, ffs at the time of the huddersfield story leaking everyone was up in arms hoping he did not leave, fickle.

How about we bang on about Thorn / Coleman / Dowie / blah blah blah whilst were at it.
Everyone? Not me or a fair few others either. I would have loved to see what a half decent manager could have done with the squad he had 2 seasons ago. But we did see what he could do once he lost the players that any club in our division would have loved to have had.
Also he lost one of the best goalkeepers in the league.Astute are you not shooting your self in the foot with your last comment, any manager in the division would of been affected with losing 60 goals / 20 assists out of their team mate, any team would of been ripped to pieces like we was.
I could tell at Bradford away the opening day we would struggle last season.
Two seasons ago, Pressley did an adequate job but we MUST remember pal and I am not sticking up for him in any shape or form here, he kept us up against all the odds on a -10 points deduction with the circus carrying on around him, surely that in its itself rewards just a hint of praise.
How about we bang on about Thorn
I don't think that's ever happened on this site!I see that dongle and mmm haven't been on here a lot recently, they must be away fanning him on a boat somewhere.
Wilson was going nowhere or was Christie until Pressley gave them man management and encouraged them. Our crop of youngsters were under his charge and they all speak so highly of him. He is, in my mind, one of the best under 21 coach/manager I think I've ever seen. The problem for him, at club management, is you have to work with older players and they don't like being told what to do. Nearly all his successes at City and in Scotland were coaching the youngsters and if I was a premier manager I would bring Pressley in to manage the youngsters. When you look at the season we are just finishing it was the older players who let SP down.

He did OK when he had a free scoring midfield and the best strikers in this division. He did nothing special. Yes he lost the best players. But he hardly got a thing right. How bad were the players brought in? Because as well as being outplayed most weeks with him telling us we played well we even got outplayed by a non league part time side. We would have been relegated if he would have stayed to the end of the season.
All very true and cannot argue with that, however, when we did have the best strike force in the division its a bloody good job isn't it mate as otherwise we would of been dead and buried thanks to the beloved FL ripping 10 points from us before a ball was kicked.
Your a betting man, even the bookies had us nailed on to go down that season.

Nah they didn't...,..

Thanks for that - Coventry's demise off the pitch - wherever that pitch may be -------- Quite clearly this article did not take into account the Northampton move, and I remember myself seeing us at seriously low odds for relegation after the 2nd August 2013 news of us having 10 points deducted.
Your article is for odds prior to the news but good try
Any side starting on -10 have a hard start so the bookies won't offer big odds. But they also didn't know how potent our strikers and midfielders were going to be. Even we didn't know how well Wilson was going to do. He finished the last season lightweight. He bulked up and had a great season. We should have done much better. And when Clarke was sold we saw the real SP. It was as though we were a one player team. We were poor even with Wilson back in the side.
SP put Wilson in the gym to bulk up btw - fact.
When Clarke was sold SP was given no funds for a replacement and even himself admitted clarke was key to the style of play, any team in the league missing their best strikers would struggle hardly an argument.
No one moaned when we was winning 5.4
Why are we even discussing this ffs lol.
His style was not having much of a clue. Hence the defence. And that never changed all his time at our club.
Quite a lot of us moaned about our defence. Especially when drawing 4-4 with only 5 attacks against us.
We are discussing it because people like you are defending him
Did you want us to keep him just before he finally got the sack? If not then why are you defending such a poor manager? The supporters at his previous club were happy to see him go. They said the only good point about him was giving young players a chance. I still remember the relief of when he went. We were going to get relegated if he stayed. How can anyone take any positives from that and spin it into someone else's fault? He had a bigger budget than most clubs in our division. But some games we couldn't even manage a shot on target. Then he would tell us we bossed the game :thinking about: We got outplayed by a non league part time club. Thorn got stick and he did much better. And he wasn't very good either. But at least he could pick a player or two.

you talk about him having the best strike force in the league but he got the best out of them?
He kept Wilson on? He changed his tactics to accommodate both, the high press suited both players.
clarke didn't do it at Wolves did he? Just proving pressley got the best out of him?
Yet again we go back to the point, how could he sort out the defence when under the transfer embargo? And with no funds in January.
this season we did keep more clean sheets with SP Than last year but we didn't have the strike force.
Again Astute I am not defending him just think their has been far far worse than SP over the years yet hes the only one being slated, under the circumstances he was working under have to be taken into consideration a little.
Again you talk about Budgets why? because Waggott the messiah said we had a top 8 budget? because he only speaks the truth?
My argument is not sticking up for SP Astute, more so the shambles he was left with and was left to put a team out their that was half beaten before they even kicked a ball.
Clarke didn't do well at Wolves because they also signed Dicko who was ahead of him in the pecking order. Clarke's career over a number of clubs including Scunthorpe before signed for us, clearly shows he's a 20 goal a season striker in league one.
Oldham 3 goals 5 games
Southend 8 goals 16 games
Chesterfield 9 goals 15 games
Charlton 0 goals 7 games (6 were subs)
Scunthorpe 11 goals 15 games
Coventry 24 goals 35 games
Then wolves 1 in 13 (9 sub apps)
You play Leon Clarke week in week out in league one and he scores goals, nothing to do with Pressley.

- Even TM has seen straight through the recruitment set up at CCFC and ensured their would be changes pal. I have it on concrete authority, I only like to deal in facts not speculation, pretty much like when I correctly advised on here CCC where doing the dirty on the club regarding the Ricoh Arena and correctly advised on here months back Waggott was doing the wheeling and dealing which I am sure has come out since.1, Thorn still gets slated even now and we have had managers in since him. - IMO no where near the amount SP has been but still different story.
2, With the amount of players he brought in he must have had a decent budget. - A budget based on cut backs and one in one out it was not top 6-8 like waggott likes to make out
3, What evidence has there ever been that Waggott chose the players? I am sure he would at least have made a comment about not being able to bring in his own players.
