Why so many empty seats ? (25 Viewers)

This match was sold out. It wasn't a game moved from a Saturday to midweek . It wasn't as if people were going but work commitments prevented them .
Yet there were hundreds of empty seats. Not thousands but clearly enough for it to look short of a sell out .
Still a very good crowd. The fact it was sold out is yet another indication of how far the club has moved on in the last few years.
Has anyone any idea why there are always so many fans who buy a ticket and just don't turn up ?

A few but not too many, mostly ST holders who I imagine are doing other things for Boxing day

I watched it at home . Lots of empty seats in the west stand, and I'm not including the balcony. There were, inevitably, spaces all over the north stand.
If we can't actually can't fill our own seats on Boxing Day ( and I don't mean sell out because we clearly can ) then I don't know when it will happen .
If this happens at other clubs then perhaps it's just what happens but I do feel.qe are particularly bad at this

I’ve a season ticket but live in Brighton, so Boxing Day with no trains was always going to be tough. And didn’t really fancy driving in that fog.

There are a fair few people in a similar position. Someone else used my ST for today but id imagine some people can’t be bothered with the admin or hassle.

Where in the ground? I'm in 13 and it looked pretty full to me.

Bear in mind, there's a lot of newbie families at a game like this and they'll be taking kids for food etc. during the game.

Nowhere near as empty as at previous 'sellouts'.

It was funny at about 88 minutes when we were singing "You've seen the City, now fuck off home" to look at a rapidly deserting north stand though.

Watch the highlights . Pockets all over the west and North stand. Perhaps more of our fans go on holiday at Christmas than other clubs, but like I say, there might be similar numbers missing at other sell out matches up and down the land.

Every ticket in the home end was sold .. 2 people next to me were taking the place of the lad that usually attends

I'd also say that empty sky blue seats stick out like a sore thumb

A lot of empty seats by us in the legends lounge block we’re bcause of people upgrading to the balcony bar, think people thought it was game over at half time so stayed in the bars ?

My dad and grandad both went into hospital Christmas Eve and Christmas Day respectively. Sorry about that
Mine are both dead, Hill. Sorry about that.

I’m sure the club still hand out freebies, while they do we’ll never have a full house.
Wasn't aware of that, but it would explain a lot of it.

Just registered after 10 years of reading this forum which is great.
But all those years of not commenting this has to be the most boring of comments registered.
We won , people have families, you spend your time counting seats at the CBS look up Pornhub if life is that bad .
Or pop into your local for a beer and talk to people.Good luck .

Watch the highlights. Lots of empty seats in the west stand. In the corners as you'd expect. But surely if people are on holiday etc they'd be dotted all over and not more in the corners than elsewhere.

I just noticed so many empty seats in a sell out.
if you've been looking at this site for 10 years without registering it's no wonder you've been on Pornhub as a top up.
