... or censored by being closed down, eh?

So if they are being censored because of an opinion then why aren't all of the others? Again, because of how the opinion is put across.

Some people love a whinge don't they. Outraged about blooming everything, conspiracies about everything.

I thought the thread was a light hearted way of pointing out the true feelings of those that don't go. I recon censorship for the oversensitive is what's killed GMK. Seriously if you were a natural and looked on there for a guidance on the feelings and thoughts of the average CCFC you'd assume that we all see SISU as some sort of saviour and Suxfields is full every "home" game.

It wasn't light hearted, it posted for the purpose of being inflammatory and to wind people up. I don't go to Sixfields but all the scab, spineless, killing the club, endorsing sisu crap really annoys me.

And if a *neutral* came on here they wouldn't get that impression at all.

Gmk is less censored than this site and contains less lunatics.

They even let you write your UKIP drivel on there.

Pretty sure with fans acting like they do it won't be long until one gets a kicking. It shouldn't happen but when you have people on Social Media abusing strangers it won't be long until one of them gets bumped into I guess.

It is wrong, but it will come to it.

GMK isn't censored at all, that's why one or two trolls could take down the entire thing. It's a fucking shell of what is was because they won't moderate the twats.

Like it or not, the majority prefer a well moderated forum.

It is now. Now the real voice of CCFC fans have been rounded up on by the wums that are left and driven away. Why would they need censorship when all's that left is a lynch mob who won't fight for their club.

I had to laugh at the "I wouldn't be happy if I was a Southampton fan" thread. All the nodding donkey's on there in agreement while oblivious to our own perils.

Do you mean that the majority have a balanced view of our situation and don't blindly back one side? How does that make them wum's? Because they have a different view to you?

As the initial poster I still don't agree with closing " the why we go to sixfields" thread. In any normal media if such a debate could be closed by an administrator who can't claim to be impartial as Nick attends sixfields and the post was directed at the sixfielders - there would be claims of freedom of speech. Sorry if this debate bores people but it will continue to roll on whilst we remain in Northampton.

The miners strike analogy is good Joy is Maggie Tim is Ian McGregor, the NUM were the majority but IMO they were the the unreasonable faction led by Arthur Grendel Scargill life president of the sixfielders and the UDM can be the other fans but not sure anyone would want to be Roy Link their leader very challenging haircut.

So why aren't all of the other posts closed? Why is it less than 1% of threads like this are moderated?

If every thread I disagreed with was closed then I would agree with you

tbf, I'd lay half decent odds those moaning about heavy handed moderation are also those who used to moan about the laissez faire approach that was GMK (and still is, if you remember your login ;) )

They share a common view that is contrary to the majority view. They seem to think that they can't do anything about our situation so carry on as before regardless. I don't know what you'd call that but it most definitely isn't balanced. Defeatist?

What are the majority doing on here apart from posting on a forum?Just because a view is shared by a majority doesn't make it the 'right one'-just look at Thorn for example. ;)

I suppose it's easy not to be over sensitive about it when you're not the target, and have nothing but contempt for those that go to Sixfields....it's just disguised internet bullying.

In fairness Stupot some are oversensitive. I think it was Sickboy moaning at me the other day because I asked why in the JPT we aren't in the same group as Northampton? A genuine polite question that he took offence to for some reason.

I hardly took offence nor was I moaning. It seemed obvious why the reason for it was. I mistook it for an attempt to bang on about us playing in Northampton for the 23454 time.

The wool was never pulled over my eyes where Thorns concerned and I doubt that 12months down the line no one hadn't changed their pro Thorn stance. You can't say the same about the minority who believe that they can't do nothing but keep doing the same thing. They're still willingly having that wool pulled.

If they 'did' something and protested/put pressure on the council they'd get criticised on here for it.

Going back to the original point anyway, surely anyone is free to visit or not visit Sixfields, and anyone is entitled to have a view on that?

As long as no actual abuse is going on I don't see what the problem is in me saying I think those going to Sixfields are wrong. If they want to tell me why I am wrong for not going then they can, doesn't mean I will listen but they are free to express an opinion on it.

No one is above criticism.

Did you see the original thread? It was abusive against those who do choose to attend.

Whether it's right or wrong to close the thread, it is a prime example of why there is a split between the fans. I've supported city both home and away since 1992, been to more shit games than many on here have had hot dinners, yet i'm a 'scab'......

I will say with complete honesty that i can't wait to bump into the people who ganged up and me and abused me outside sixfields last season.

If everyone who seems to have such a strong opinion on CWR/Here/Facebook, had actually bothered to get behind the team over the years then this would never have happened.

Even away games are shit now, people who think they have a good atmosphere need to think back just a few years to what it used to be like. Just look at our self-appointed 'leaders' who think they are great because they go to away games and start such witty songs as 'Joy Sepalla is a slag'

This whole episode has convinced me that most football fans are wankers, and City supporters have the team they deserve.

Who were these people who"ganged up " and abused you outside Sixfields? I've been to every game on the hill it only happened once to my knowledge, after I had left between people who had never been before or since. Oh and by the way as has been documented the abuse wasn't one sided. You do what you do ie go in, we do what we do ie stand on the hill,we have no trouble from anyone except for one policewoman.

I have a strong opinion I've supported the team for 55 years, in the last 50 years the only home games I've missed have been when I was in hospital.

Who are these "self appointed leaders" and of course the atmosphere is shit, people who go to away games are mostly going through the motions:eek:sorry. In the past we had some hope what have we got now? Doom and gloom and that has got to the fans big time and the fans are taking it out on the person they blame for this

So as far as you're concerned most(other than you) football fans are wankers? I would say the club are getting the fans that they deserve.

I do think it's only a very small number that are desperate to categorise people, abuse others for their stance, and create divisions within the fan-base. Unfortunately though, they're also the ones that shout the loudest.

Simple really. Don't know why we have to have thread closures and 14 pages of debate on the matter.

Pretty sure they would think nothing of the sort unless they live in some parallel universe where everything is opposite. Like you clearly do.

I dont know why everyone gets so worked up. SISU deserve Northampton and the millions its costs in lost revenue.

City fans however do not.

I think the best thing to come of this is the stayaway fans. They area true credit to this club and im proud of every single 1 who stayed away. I am one so are all my mates. 90% boycott. Says it all.

Alot of people said they would cave in an go. That has turned out to be a load of BS. Lets hope even less numbers go next season.

The less the better.

Nobody is worked up ;) That post is an example of getting your opinion across without being abusive or without trying to stir up trouble, Thanks :)

You have got your point across without abusing anybody else.

Great. I think you should not block posts you don't like. In this case it would have died a death and we would have moved on. In that spirit let's leave it at that. Let's hope our portfolio company have some success this year. PUSB

At what point did i say it was either you or any of your compatriots on the hill?

I had the problem after one particular game, as you say I have never seen them there since, and try as i might, i've never been able to run into them at an away match either. But they'll show up one day, and as i said before i look forward to seeing them.

As you said you weren't even there so i don't see how you can comment on it. Yes i did return the abuse, as was documented on CWR at the time. However when it's 4 onto 1 you either back away or stand up for yourself, which is what i did.

However it is in the past, as you correctly sayapart from that incident there have been no problems with anybody else on the hill. Whilst i wouldn't choose to stand on the hill myself, fair play to those that do. However one thing i find annoying is the air of moral high ground the 'hillers' seen to have. I don't understand why you would travel to stand on the hill, the same way you can't see why myself and others go in the ground. However i don't see daily posts by the 'sixfielders' slagging off those who go on the hill.

Remember there's a lot more city fans in the ground than there are on the hill, and a decent proportion of those who attend sixfielders are the same fans who get praised for following the club all over the country to away games, and not just the MK Dons, Wolves, and Port Vale games.
