I don't see a deal on the horizon, as long as the team does well Seppala will feel she has a strengthening hand (and she may be right), and I expect more Legal and Press tactics like we've seen for the last year. The Council might get jumpy around election time next May, but I honestly doubt they're seeing mass pressure from voters.
I expect Sisu to hang on to next season if we get promoted, maybe another season if we're close. But if we drop off I expect fire sales and liquidation. This time last year things were looking up as well, and look how that went.
I doubt if the Council will feel any political pressure for many reasons. Firstly the 2 main political parties are pretty much united on this issue, secondly Coventry is overwhelmingly a Labour City, with a huge majority. Thirdly the Ricoh dispute is highly unlikely to affect how people vote, national matters are more likely to sway voters choices.
Presently it is hard to see how all this will play out. Perhaps the next 2 significant events which may affect the ultimate outcome are, the upcoming appeal and when ACL's yearly accounts are released. Firstly if as seems likely SISU lose their JR case at the end of November, then that gravely weakens their future bargaining position. Secondly if when ACL's audited accounts are released, they show that ACL's assertion that they can indeed survive without the football club, then you have to ask where do SISU go from here.
