Will SISU still be in control next season (1 Viewer)

Curious as to know how many people think a takeover will actually happen and how many people think SISU will dig there heels in and not sell up.

I know we have a few takeover threads so feel free to use them to discuss, I'm just incredibly curious of totals, and how many people think a new dawn is just around the corner.

They won't be 'in control' though, that's a very different thing to owning the club. They havent been in control since day 1.

yes they will, they have too much money tied up in loans that they will want a return on. nobodys going to come in a take on 30+ millions in loans before trying move the club forward.

from SISU's statements the club is breakeven/near to breakeven, so why sell? if you take away the emotion and simply look at it as a business (which they are), breakeven is OK for them, yes the debt with regards to loans increases year on year but they don't have to put money into the club to keep it running.

the offers, as far as I can see, don't really address the loans, unless I've missed something, yes they would get some cash for the club, with some future payments, but where would the loan debt go?

SISU will be holding out hoping someone comes in with a much higher offer and be willing to take on the debts, there is nobody, as far as I can see, will to do that.

Sisu have hurdles to consider mainly the ground one I don't think they have a viable alternative to the Ricoh, if there is one where is it ? that could leave them in 12 month time with something they can get an eventual 10millionish now or nothing in a year. If this peters out to nothing I suspect the expected lower season ticket up take to fall further they will have to put money in or call in the administrator I don't know how that would pan out when our debts seem to be all owed within the sisu group. I also think if this comes to nowt we might be looking for a new manager as Fisher will have to reduce budget pretty drastically will MR accept that ?.

Sisu have gone from a company of 30 odd employees with swankey offices in Mayfair to about 10 with a lot smaller base elsewhere in just a couple of years or so, I don't think they are awash with money

SISU will go when they are prepared to crystallise their losses in CCFC and effectively admit defeat. No new owner will give them back anything near the money they have lost in CCFC. Joy Sepalla will not admit defeat and walk away and why would she if the club can break even going forward. Tim Fisher effectively told us this in the interview he gave CWR at Christmas. Fisher also told us that reduced season tickets would simply translate into a reduced playing budget, in order to maintain a break even position. So I think SISU will be here unless something within their organisation gives them an opportunity to write off their investment in CCFC and go.

I dont think they can afford to walk away, not unless they have some very creative accountants. Any losses at the minute can offset gains in other funds even though there only paper ones. This is one for OSB, could crystalysing the CCFC debt or loans put SISU in a position that puts them out of business?

Can the club break even though ? Turnstile revenue will be down, upfront revenue from ST sales will be down perhaps as much as 50% our situation could affect player sale revenue too, why would prospective buyers pay top dollar when they know the seller is desperate for money, I wouldn't.

That was said in the last transfer window before relegation.
That was said in every season in league 1.
Is there any evidence to suppose SISU will now move away from their breakeven strategy?

Like it's been mentioned in this thread, if they're making any kind of profit, then it's something in their portfolio that is ..... wait for it ..... making them profit.

Like I said in another thread, I think SISU should disclose (not necessarily to us, Les Reid or the general public) what they would be accept for the club. This whole "making an offer with a figure plucked from thin air" isn't helping anyone. It's just getting us fans excited for something which is looking evermore increasingly unlikely.

I think SISU will still be here come the end of next season unfortunately. I just can't get optimistic about this.

I'd love for that first game of the 2017-18 season to be under new stewardship in front of 20,000 fans (we're all returning when they're gone ... right?) full of optimism for once but it just seems a pipe dream at the moment.

I think the last one was credible but I do not think Hoff and his team are finished yet there probably talking to more possible investors before making any move .Don' t forget he has been in banking and should know some people who love football with a bit of cash to spare .I think Sterling will get his day in the sun in August.
